Remember that self-talk (soothing and positive) is VERY important. I felt pretty much the same at your point. But it's important to NOT quit, just recommit. Keep faith, too! I'm at the end of week 8 and feel SO much better. It does take a lot of patience...

Do not give up I was afraid for the first 4weeks of this program that it is overwhelming and the relaxation cd doesnt do everything for me either i can not seem to feel the warmth in any part of my body try some other peer suport areas and look for Mrs Tbones she has some really good inspirational and spiritual music and i try listening to other music calming soothing with vidios and let me tell you it helps me to relax and see the visual in my mind . Go for walks even if for only a feww minutes listen to birds chirp the trees blow in the wind if you live near water or out in a rural area be in nature it is the most tranquill and peaceful moments of my day. Be still and listen. Just dont give up were all in this garbage together and here to support one another lol :) ;)

Patience patience patience! We didn't get this way overnight and its not likely going to go away overnight. You will have to be your own best friend and advocate during these sessions and tapes/cds. Being super duper nice to yourself like you would for your best friend in the whole world. Why? Because you know yourself the best. It didn't get too much from lessons 1 or 2 either, but lesson 3?! KamBam!! That one sure hit me. I saw myself all over that lesson. And I have been doing the program for some time. I went to the dentist today and got thru it and my depression is way way way down from what it was. So be kind to yourself and lower your expectations a tiny bit. It will all start coming together you will see :)

first of all this is not a pill or some sort of weight loss diet. I understand that you do not like struggling with this condition and that you want it to be gone like yestaurday. But it just doesn't work that way and recovery is also not a black and white thing. You are going to make small accomplishments and expect not to notice a huge diffrence for a little while. You just have to trust that it is helping you even if you don't feel like it is right now. (Which you also got to realize that it is your thoughts and feelings that are not always rational right now so they are not the best way to gage progress right now).

You are only on week 2, you need to give it some time. Thats really your only option right now unless you want to continue go back to the constant suffering with little hope to recovery. I'm not saying this to be a jerk, I'm saying this because you really need to look at the reality of it. Do you go to a gym for 2 weeks and expect to have an amazingly fit body? Probabbly not, the same goes for the program (although it probabbly won't take you as long to feel better as it will to have the body you want).
