I think it's helping me. I had a pretty tough week last week. So, it's hard for me to gauge right now. I think it would be helpful for you to keep the pocket card with you this week as you state you're afraid of what might happen if you have another panic attack. It's important to remember that Session 2 states that the attacks last for about 15-20 minutes and that the main thing is to accept and know that it's not going to kill you. Easier said than done, I know..also, remember not "to run"...not to resist...for me, I've found that what I resists, persists. Take it easy...and watch the "what-if's"...that's what I have to keep reminding myself. Be gentle with yourself too!
JEWELBUGG I must say that i have just started my 2nd session as well,and yes it seems to work and make me feel better too,but i say the same thing how am i gonna deal with my next attack and i tried the breathing and keeping my mind busy and thinking positive.....it did some what help me,but it is so hard to concentrate when ur that panicky and uncomfortable,if yah know what i mean......just have to keep practice on it"....The thing that is so hard in the lesson for me to grasp is the "tell yourself it is ok let yourself have an attack it won't hurt you"...well i guess i already know it has not hurt me but it feels like i could just die or think that i would feel better if i were dead...crazy huh...lol....I have not drove maybe a mile at a time in the past 4 years....I could go on and on.Dimitra...p.s. if u want to talk more u can add as a friend on here....
