I have been tested for just about everything I can think of and yet I still think that there is something wrong with me. I know its my anxiety but I fixate on every pain and sensation in my body and then worry about it! I am on week 2, I also see a therapist and take 5mg of zanex. I just want to feel better like I used to. I freak out about the dumbest things. Panic attacks and all the above. Is there anyone like me out there that just plain suffers. I feel i need a mental institute until I get normal again.??
I get it... I think lots of us do. It will take time for us to get through this. Just know that you've been checked out and that you're ok. Use this program to learn what your body is doing and that we need to "re-program" ourselves to not react to things the way we do.
I can completely relate to your comment about a mental institute!
It's nice to know that we're not going crazy (by the way...we're not going crazy!) and that so many other people are suffering through the same symptoms. Stay with it with me! ttyl.

Wow I'm the exact same way! If I feel ANY slight pain, or any discomfort, I automatically assume the worst. I'm 19 years old and I worry about things that wouldn't happen unless I was lke 50 or 60 years old, IF it was to happen, like heart attacks. haha, I feel better knowing there's someone like me. It's awful! It seems like no matter what, you can't convince yourself that your body is fine, nothing's wrong, there is no danger. That's the biggest challenge is convincing yourself you're alright, and relaxing. I also mixed around the sessions, and I did the ones that applied the most to me first, which were session 8: How to put an end to what if thinking, and session 10: how to address scary, obsessive thoughts. Good luck!
