I have it from time to time. I had it badly last year and saw my family doctor and it was a problem with my ears. Normally, that's where vertigo stems from. I subsequently had my ears checked by an audiologist and everything was okay. My doctor removed wax from my ears and I felt much better afterwards. I, too, was getting vertigo without anxiety. It would be best to have your doctor check it out as it can be a sign of a high blood pressure problem.

I had vertigo last summer pretty bad that lasted over a month. My doctor told me it was due to labyrinthitus- an inner ear infection. The worst thing was when I went out places I was worried I'd fall over walking, or lose control of my car driving. It triggered anxiety in me for awhile and I had to deal with that on top of the dizziness I had. So I would suggest seeing a doctor about it and have them give you a proper diagnosis.

I get it 2-3 times a year, my wife a little more. We each usually get it from head movement, never anxiety. It lasts from 30 minutes to an hour or two. The dr prescribed us Meclizine.

THE IRONY OF IT ALL!!!

Twenty minutes after I wrote this, I got vertigo . No joke. I was answering a call and was going to sit in a dinner table chair. I pulled the chair out and spun around to comfortably sit in. The vertigo hit like a left hook  I took 10 mg of Meclizine and 30 minutes later I was good.

Hello everyone, I get it too. Living in Indiana, alot of it is sinus related but I also get the fluid build up in my ear and that throws me off kilter! One time, I was in Menards and was walking in one direction and started swerving off to the left. :D I laughed at the time but that was before I had panic attacks. Knowing what is causing it is very helpful. Anxiety can cause dizziness too.

Hope it helps to know you are not alone. Take care.

I also have this problem. Usually it comes a couple times a year now. I have been having occasional dizziness and ringing in my right ear for the last three weeks or so.
