Sorry to hear about your friend's aunt. It is pretty cool that she spent her whole life in a place she wanted to be ! I hope I can live that long. That would mean more years of retirement. LOL
That's nice of your employer to give you unpaid days off.....note the sarcasm...... As long as you can still eat and live, it'll be ok. Your mom can check up on you thru the buddy list ! LOL GO TO BED ! SIT UP STRAIGHT ! WASH YOUR HANDS ! MAKE YOUR BED ! PICK ME UP AND TAKE ME TO THE STORE ! The demands are endless really ! LOL

i think i rocked at work today. i did all that was expected and played nice. lol

i came home to a big box on my front porch - a gift from marcia - my uncle's wife. what was in said box? clothes!!!! any time marcia starts clearing out her closets she sends me her castoffs - how cool is that? some of the things she sends have never been worn. some i can wear, the others i'll pass along. it's always such a treat for me!!! i've got tomorrow's outfit already planned - my black shirt with a black underblouse - and THE rose colored jacket with black piping she sent. it's so pretty - yay for me!!!

of course, now the living and dining rooms are kinda, sorta covered with scattered clothes. i'll worry about that tomorrow LOL

how was your day? i hope it was the best yet!!!!

Work for me was the best yet ! I think that it has to do with the beautiful weather around here ! It's sunny, not a cloud in the sky AND it's almost 70 degrees !!!!!!! I can't believe it ! It's going to be like this for the rest of the week too.

Any day that you leave work with your sanity intact, was a day that rocked. We BOTH rocked today.

Nobody leaves ME clothes on my front porch. I'm a little envioUs. (not of the rose coloUred jacket, just the fact that you got free clothes ! LOL) I want free clothes now.....

I have a feeling that the remainder of the week shall rock for both of us.

Now clean your living and dining room. LOL

i actually went into the living room earlier with the intent of clearing it out - and wandered out - i completely forgot LOL i must have started looking for something and was on the phone. who knows? LOL at me

i thought st. patrick's day was monday so i wore no green today. i found out from good morning america it was st. paddy's day - was running hopelessly late - had overslept - and didn't have time to change clothes. strangely, nobody was surprised i thought st. paddy's day was monday LOL they know me!

for now, things are going well at work. people have been/are being nice. i do what is expected of me and ask any and everybody if i can help them with anything. i keep 2 things is mind at work: that my work name is "lay low" and trust is a four-letter word. of course, they are 105 people i trust there with all my heart - but there are some - it's not worth going in to again - i'll just be overstating LOL

your weather should be MY weather - it's so unfair. it is cold and rainy here - again! but before i can turn around twice, it's going to be so hot and humid that i'll be melting and begging for winter LOL

my sister is coming into town with her 2 children sometime tomorrow afternoon. i can't wait! she's not been back since christmas and mama and i haven't been up there. thinking about it right now, i'm going to have to put away all those clothes covering the couch and dining room table LOL

i'm so glad your day was wonderful. btw, would you be interested in a few pairs of lady's pants? they don't - and never will - fit me LOLOL

i don't know why i'm so tired! i dragged around this morning and got to work at 8:10. it was all i could do to stay awake at my desk - i had to get up and move around some. i was miserable LOL

my sister and her 2 kids - 16 and 12 - are in town. hence, i have picked up the clothes from the living room and they are now folded on the dining room table - suitable for viewing HA i vaccuumed too - wow!

the pool guy is supposed to come tomorrow and pump the ick water out of the pool. the key word in that sentence is "supposed." sigh i understand he's been sick and it's rained and rained some more here. that being stated, i can't take my backyard anymore! mosquitoes are already starting here! and it's going to be so pretty when the new liner is in.

i'm getting ready to wash my hair. let me know how your day was.

Were you more awake today ?

Today was the best day to end the best week I've had in a long time. It's amazing how weather can affect the mind. It is awesome outside today. It's 70 degrees, a cool breeze is blowing and I drove home with the window down and the tunes blaring ! It felt like summer.

I hope you're having a good time with your sister and her kids. Glad to hear that you put the free clothes away LOL You don't want to rub it in your sister's face that you got free clothes and she has to pay full price ! LOL

Did the pool guy get the ick out of the pool ?

I'm hoping to go for my river walk soon. It's soooo nice out that I want to soak in as much as I can. I haven't done the river walk since I fell, so wish me luck ! LOL I hope I make it. I'll do lots of streching first.

i wrote the longest email to you last night and it got lost when i posted it - why?

yesterday i took the afternoon off to be with mama, my sister and her daughter - nephew has gone over to the cousins to party LOL we had lunch at mama's, then my sister, niece and i took the boys for a long walk along the river. there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the temp was low 70s. it was such a good time. and yes we got hot!!!

late afternoon, mama and the rest of us walked around the lake. mama has pretty much always shaded her face from the sun and the boys do walk too fast for her. since my lunch hour is from 1-2, it was only 3 hours personal leave - yay.

the pool guy came and most of the swamp water is pumped out. i'm hoping he'll have the liner in before next weekend.

this morning was your worst nightmare - a birthday party for my 4-year-old niece at the mall food court. we all questioned sister-in-law's sanity about why there but it was really cool. there's a play area with cars and trucks and all for the kids and it's under a huge skylight so there was a lot of sunshine. sister-in-law had games - scavenger hunt, word stuff, etc. for all. pizza and subs and of course cupcakes. it was a really good time! and i'm not a mall person.

i came home and changed into work clothes and got rid of most of the weeds out front. i don't understand why i have a lawn service and still get weeds? it's hot right now - and so am i. it was time to stop so i did. most of the time i keep going until i'm so tired and overdone that i make myself half sick.

anyway, the sun is out in full force and it's gorgeous here! now i'm going to put on shorts and sit in out back and try to get some sun on my legs. nobody - except people in victorian england - have legs as white as mine!

i don't think i'll be able to walk this afternoon. i wore tennis socks with my tennis shoes yesterday and they caused almost blisters on the bottom of my feet. i'll go along and time my sister and niece as they do the nature trail. niece ran it in 9 minutes yesterday - and my sister ran/walked it in 11 or 12. i did not participate LOL it's uphill the second half. i'm not that competitive!

as for work, i guess it was a good week. my boss was out all week on sick leave. i didn't get called on the carpet about anything. i made sure i covered all the bases for taking off 3 hours yesterday - and it was a slow day. i'll find out monday if i stepped on anyone's toes by taking the afternoon off. for now i'm not going to worry about it. it's so tiring and such a waste of good energy.

i hope you're enjoying a warm sunny day - and having more fun than anyone!!!

I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT !!!! I did the entire riverwalk today !!!!!! My leg didn't bother me at all. I was pleasantly surprised ! It took me a bit longer (about 2 hours or so) but the goal was to complete it and I DID !!!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention...the beautiful weather we HAD last week.....it's gone. It's 34 degrees and it was cloudy today. I should've gone for my walk after work yesterday.....but I still DID IT !!!!!!!

Enough bragging LOL

The mall for a party ?!?!?!?!? Ummmm, no thank you. LOL I'd have to be half in the bag to go to a party at the mall ! LOL

Glad to hear that everyone's having a good time !

You won't have any problems at work on Monday. Like you said, you covered your bases, so you did all you can possibly do. No worries ! Enjoy your family. That's your only goal for the weekend.

At least you have weeds to pull ! LOL It's back to being too cold here for weeds. I did see some tulips poking out of the dirt down at the river. I guess Spring is really here. I couldn't tell that from today though. My face was beet red after the walk.

I guess in a few more weeks I can count on the nice weather again. By the time the summer hits, it will be hot and humid and I'll be complaining about that LOL

i am already sore from weeding - go figure! i have this thing for popping out weeds and dandelions that's really cool - works great. but you still have to bend over and pick all the weeds up - unless you've got someone to do that part for you LOL

for the back yard i put on shorts and a sleeveless t-shirt. i may be sunburned - i haven't looked yet. my face is a bit red. i couldn't just sit in the sun. instead i cleaned up around the pool. it so needed to be done and looks so nice. whenEVER the new pool liner goes in, i'm more than ready!!!

combine the front and back yards and you have a person who's truly beat like a small dog! but oh the sunshine was incredible!

we all did a slow walk around the lake late this afternoon - me, mama, my sister, 2 nieces and a nephew. wait - my sister and niece ran the nature trail again. whatEVER LOL

my sister is leaving around 10 in the morning. her children have activities going on in the afternoon and it's back to work and school for them monday. their spring break is over.

it's so wonderful when my sister comes to town. it's like we just saw each other the day before. and that's always where we pick up - like no time has passed.

her daughter was going to spend the night but then my in-town niece decided to go to mama's and party with them. i told her it was for the best. keeper has been wading in the swamp water in the deep end of the pool and smells awful. also, the big black flies are back and i have at least 4 in the house. my mission is to eradicate them - sooner than later. they're the size of bats - don't freak out LOL

it has been such a fun day. so much love and laughter with my family. and sunshine!!!

how long is your river walk that it takes 2 hours? i'd have to pack food and water - maybe a pillow and blanket to nap!!!

i'm getting ready to stretch my back out some. i think i groaned or made some kind of weird noise getting up from sitting on the floor in the living room. all i know is the kids laughed at me. of course, that is their job LOL x forever
