Happy St. Pat's!
It's almost a week, and it's been a welcomed change. Things have been peaceful and enjoyable. Yesterday I went to a sales job fair and was able to meet with the five companies I wanted. I am very happy that this goal, to get my resume which was personalized for each of theses companies, was accomplished. Two of them were very impressed with my resume presentation.
I also have money in the bank, and--for the moment--no bills to take away the money.
I treated myself to lunch and a coffee soda, and some relaxation time on the park bench. The weather here in NY, after last week's monster storm, is gorgeous. It's my birthday in a couple of days.

Sounds like things are on the upswing ! I've heard somewhere that if you have money in the bank, you're doing better than most. I believe that. ..........what's a coffee soda ?
Now, do they call you for another interview on another day, or were these THE interviews ?
Just remember Chuck, no sliding in like Risky Business ! Don't you dare ! LOL

I am keeping my expectations still on the...er, conservative side. But for now I am just enjoying the peace and rest.
Thanks again for the well-wishes.

The coffee soda is called Manhattan Special. It's espresso soda. Surprisingly it doesn't effect my anxiety. Here's a link on it.Originally posted by manofmusic:

Yesterday were initial interviews. The applicant gets an opportunity to personally deliver their resume to a live human being (as opposed to the online applying, which the companies want anyway.) The applicant also now has a live contact in the company (as opposed to just sending resumes through the company website or a job board like Careerbuilder, which most of the time you don't give a contact's name.)
In turn the company gets to see the live person behind the resume and see if he/she is sharp as knife or sharp as a bowling ball.
They all will call for another interview. Nowadays, you go through 2 or more interviews. You have to speak with everyone from the president to the porter

My bank account now in comparison to just last week like night and day. I am talking about having literally zero in the account

You know my wife reminded me to go in a suit instead of the boxer shorts and 70s shirt. LOL!

Cloie, thank you. I've been thanking Him for these peaceful and non-stressful times. Today when I was in the park relaxing on a bench with the coffee soda, I looked skyward and said, "Thank you for this moment."Originally posted by Ms. T Bones:
