today is the FIRST day in a long time i haven't been blindsided on a FRIDAY. what does this mean? i'm going to have so much time on my hands by NOT WORRYING about work!!!!!! yayyyyyy let me reiterate - yayyyyyyyyyy
i'm sure i'll be busted/yanked or jerked around about something next week someone found not acceptable for this week - but i'm at this place now - today - hopefully the entire weekend - where it just won't matter.
if jim morrison was the lizard king - i AM the lizard queen LOLOL

Me too !!!!!! No blindsiding at all today ! and you are right about the Friday thing. **** usually hits the fan around 3:29 on a Friday. NOTHING !!!!! yeeeehaaaaaaaaaa......I work for 4 hours tomorrow and then the weekend is mine !!!! ...I hope nothing hits the fan tomorrow ! LOL
The week actually was one of my better weeks (aside from the income tax thing). I came home to shovel MORE snow and then went to my folk's house to shovel them out, then shovelled my elderly neighboUrs out. I deserve this time to relax, so I am. Yes, I had a stellar week. Next week WILL be stellar too (for you too)!!!!!
Time to have a late bite to eat and then do some of that relaxation I mentioned earlier !

my sister is the ultimate hero to 4 kids - three 16 year olds boys and a 12 year old girl. she took then to nashville saturday for an eric clapton concert!!! how cool is she?!?!?!?! she had more fun than anyone - they all did.
i actually cleared clutter out of the kitchen saturday and my office today. AND i got it all to the TRASH - that means no turning back. how proud am i? very!!! there's more clutter - but again - baby steps LOL
i hope you had a relaxing, happy weekend. despite a headache all afternoon, i did manage to take pony to the river walk for a walk.
i hope your tomorrow rocks steady - aretha franklin LOL

I'm surprised that you didn't go to the concert ! That concert would've rocked !!!!! I went to get tickets over the net for Eric last year. Sold out in 10 minutes. Couldn't believe it. Maybe next time.
Today went smooth until about 10 minutes before I left. One of the jerks made a smart a** comment about a mistake I made 3 YEARS AGO !!!! I had to sit back and try to remember something I did 3 YEARS AGO !!!!!!! I was floored. I almost lost it. I left the room. When I came back, you could hear a pin drop. I sat back in front of the computer and didn't say a thing about it. The odd thing about it is that the person that made the comment is one of the laziest people you'd ever want to meet. He's the type of person that you just want to push thru a plate glass window (would never do that, but picturing it happening made the last few minutes of the day seem sweet ! LOL). Like I said before, 99% of the people there are awesome to work with. Unfortunately, it's the 1% that can grate on my last nerve.
Other than that, the day was extremely productive. The weather here went up to almost 40 ! The sun was out all day and it was beautiful !!!!!
How was today for you ?

i know how much i - personally - love to have someone bring up a mistake i made in the past. it's so very relevant to the here and now. and it adds so much to helping me become a better person! the above sentences are ABSOLUTE LIES!!! LOL
i can't stand it when someone does that nonsense (insert your own word there) LOL in the name of all that's right and holy, WHY do people do that? i understand your vision/dream of revenge. it's normal. i would have been mad as you were. what is that expression? got it - you can't cure stupid. the jerk is stupid. i have some cartoon on my desk that says something about "don't stir crazy with a stick" - or something like that. you did the right thing in just walking away. but oh how i know everything you wanted to say!!!!
it's the beginning of busy season at work. i fielded phone calls today. we have caller id and most people don't leave a message - i guess they figure their call won't be returned. after i'm done with a call, i just start going back to missed calls and catching people off guard. they can't believe a person would actually call back LOL
i like the lady who was hired last month. she's very nice, calm and appears to be gentle. i told her what someone who left a couple of years ago told me when i first started there - "there is no mistake you make that can't be fixed." nothing we work with is life or death. the person who left couldn't take it anymore. she took an early retirement because all the nonsense (insert your own word) just wasn't worth it.
my sister lives 4.5 hours from here. AND she didn't buy me a ticket. if i'd have shown up, i would have just roamed the streets of nashville with one of the kids' ipods listening to clapton LOL x forever
mama was here when i got home from work so we could run into walmart then go for a walk. it was up in the low 60s today!!!! but just in the time it took to run into walmart and we weren't in there 10 minutes if not less - the sun started going down and it was cold walking around the lake!!! tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and 45 degrees. oh well.
oh and again today, i was as still as a lizard on an ivy leaf.

on a non-related work subject - i have the blues. i felt sad and a bit lonely today. this despite being surrounded by friends. while i love listening to the blues - i don't enjoy having the blues.
i do know i've been dizzy - it's sinus related which almost always goes to my ears - blast it all. i started feeling overly anxious saturday on the way to publix and ended up going to a closer store instead. sunday i had a headache and didn't really want any company. i felt i could easily become cranky so mama and i didn't do our sunday running around.
dizziness = anxiety = depression = the blues. that's a formula i've worked out LOL
work. the division secretary put in her retirement today - she'll leave the last day of march. i'm happy for her and will miss her. i asked her what computer programs she uses and stuff like that. she uses programs i've never used. one is called dream weaver - and no it's not the song LOL there is no reason for me to even put in for her job since a thorough knowledge of dream weaver and some other things which are a must on the job description. i do think whoever is hired with come from within the system. they'll need knowledge of the in's and out's of the system and all the players.
since i've been depressing as all get out - it's funny story time. today at lunch i was meeting my friend lisa. i got there first and was seated in the booth next to 3 tech guys from the building. i told them i wouldn't sit with them IF they bought my lunch. they laughed too hard. lisa got there - we split a big salad - and the guys left. when the waitress was clearing our plates, she said - one of your friends paid for your lunch! i was stunned beyond all belief!!!!! i know the guys like lisa and me - but that simply went above and beyond. i'm always stunned by how cool/nice/kind/giving some people are. and yes, i almost cried it was so sweet and dear.
my thank you gift will be homemade brownies - by mama. mama is the brownie queen LOL
so there's my day - ups and downs.

Karma ! All it takes is someone to pay for lunch to kill the blues. When I get the blues, I slip on the headphones, and get lost in the tunes. Now I can't get Dream Weaver out of my head....thanks LOL
Don't worry about not being able to go where you wanted to go. Sometimes I do that and I'm not even anxious. I just don't feel like doing it. You are right. You will snap out of it in a day or two. I'm the same way.
Today was a nice calm day at work. No one made any smart a** comments and everyone was good to each other. There were no pressing deadlines and I left work with a smile on my face (and I think everyone else did too !)
Last year at this exact time, we were all put on a rotating layoff. Now, we have work to do and it doesn't seem that it will stop any time soon. That's good news.
I even went for my walk after work. I don't know if I mentioned in an earlier post, but I went for my walk at the river a week or so ago and when I got to my truck, I slipped on the ice and fell under the truck. One leg and one arm overextended and the pain went right thru my body. Anyway, I went for my walk after work today and I got half way thru my walk and the pain shot thru my body. I felt nauseous. I sat down for a bit, then got back up slowly. I was ok after that. I didn't push myself. I finally made it home. I sat down for about 15 minutes when I got home and I went to get up and it felt like my left leg was on fire. It eventually stopped and it's back to normal. I shouldn't have pushed myself the way I did. Lesson learned ! LOL
Here's to an excellent day tomorrow ! Don't forget to rock !
