about to take cymbalta

Hi everyone. I was on pristiq and it worked so good except i gained 30 pounds on it. I am now wanting to tale cymbalta. I have depression, anxiety and panic. Has this med helped any of you???? I also hear it is more likely to cause weight loss than weight gain which is what I need!!

Ok last night was my first night taking cymbalta. Im feeling a little sweatly and have restless legs and kinda nauseous . im nervous )-: i hope I dont get any mental side effects from this. any positive support would be appreciated. thank you

Hi holly,

I was on cymbalta for a while, but it made too tired, as I have CFS, I am already more tired than most, so the Doc is switching me to Effexor, which I am about to try out, which I think is similar to Pristiq. I am sure you will do well on Cymbalta!

oh i see. hmm. . well i hope and pray it does well for me. I am already feeling some side effects such as nausea, dry mouth and i feel pretty out of it. is that normal to feel out of it when you first start a anti dep?

Hey. . . I noticed your post on FB. I've never taken Cymbalta but those S/E sound pretty normal. I had nausea, headaches, tired, and out of it when I first started Celexa. Thankfully it eased up after a couple weeks. It is so hard for me to get past the first couple days because I'm so afraid of medication. But I'm so glad I did. I feel so much better. With Celexa I lost weight at first but then leveled off.

I thought I remembered that Celexa didn't work very well for you. . .so I hope Cymbalta is just what you need!!

Did you have any side effects from the Pristiq other than weight gain?
