I just started the attacking depression and anxiety program, I had severe panic attacks a few years ago, since then I have just had generalized anxiety and occasional panic attacks that I have been able to prevent from becoming full blown. Well, since starting the program 4 days ago, I have had some of the worst panic attacks ever. The whole reason I got the program was so that I could get rid of the GAD. I never dreamed I would begin to have panic attacks again after starting the program. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know if I should continue with the program or not.

Hi Tanya!

Let me assure you, that this has happened to PLENTY of people. It's totally normal. Continue on with the program as usual.

You will keep moving forward, even if you feel like you are taking 2 steps back. I thought I had things under control in a couple of weeks after starting the program - boy was I wrong. But eventually things DO get better.

Don't let any anxiety, depression or panic stop you or slow you down from getting through the program.

Things are only going to go up for you! :)

Lucinda will say on the program that you will feel more anxious in the beginning. I think that is because we are confronting our fears. This is totally normal and I think it has happened to most of us.I recently started the program for the second time and I got more anxious beginning again even the second time. So don't worry--just do as Shifrah advised and keep doing the program and moving forward.

BTW, welcome to the forum and to the group on here.
