aboot.....yeah yeah... I get it.....EH ????? LOL

Yes we have the Super Bowl fans and yes, many of us go into work real tired on Monday because of it ! LOL Not me though, I plan on leaving around 10:00. That way I can still get SOME sleep ! LOL........you know us OLD people can't do without our sleep ! LOL

Canada really isn't that confusing. We have different accents just like the U.S. Newfoundland has one, nobody can understand anyone from Quebec (all French) and then there's the rest of us ! LOL....and don't forget the native people too !) Canada has a bigger land mass then the U.S. but we have 10x less people. (A good portion of Canada is on top of perma-frost......constantly frozen.) Friends of mine lived in northern Manitoba. All of their gardens had to be raised because they could only dig a few inches before they hit ice.

And yes.......we like our beer.....OUR beer ! LOL

We have baseball (the Toronto Blue Jays won 2 years in a row ('92 and '93) and we have hockey. Tons and tons of hockey. We play Lacrosse, and curling (no not hair, Karma !!!) LOL It's played with big curling rocks and it's on ice. It's the same idea as shuffleboard except the rocks are big and there are handles right on them to slide them down the ice. It's actually pretty fun.

So......yes we know about(aboot) football and we eat fried food while we watch it ! LOLOLOL We watch it all in our house (hoouse). You Americans really do have a sense of humour ....notice the spelling of humour (not humor), color is spelled colour, favorite is spelled favourite etc etc. Get it now ?!?!?!? LOL

As for the milk....I drink 2%...not warmed LOL

I really like the way your spell colour and flavour and humour...I also love the way you say the letter Z - zed. I wonder why we had to shorten everything, I miss out on all the fun!

I have cousins in New York, I can't understand a word they say! And one of their siblings moved to Israel, she now has a thick Israeli accent. Strange and interesting how you can move somewhere and pick up a different accent - my BIL married a Texan, even though he's been divorced over 5 years, he still has that twang...my DH sounds nothing like him, you wouldn't know they were raised in the same home listening to them.

the sun is shining - the sky is cloudless and blue - it's chilly and simply beautiful. all the colours combine to make this a most glorious day. the bulbs in the back yard have green leaves and will bloom before long. spring is on the way. my favourite season is definately not winter.

note i used the letter "u" several times.

mama and her sisters have traveled through canada several times. i have a cousin living somewhere in canada. it's 4 hours from lansing, michigan - that's all i know. the last time mama and her sisters went to visit my cousin there, mama had forgotten her birth certificate. she'd grabbed the wrong document. she entered canada with the death certificate of our great great great grandfather who fought in the american revolution. the border guard thought it was the funniest thing ever LOL mama and the aunts have many bizarre adventures on their travels. i fear them - greatly. just getting in the car with them in town is like a journey through the twilight zone.

i don't really have a southern accent. people ask me where i'm from and i just say earth. i think that is the correct answer?!?

mama and i are getting ready to head out for here there and everywhere. wish us luck! i just want milk and non-white tennis shoes. i have great expectations!

i'm going to be forced to watch part of the super bowl tonight. rats!!! LOL

Hi Ya'll!
No one ever asks me where I'm from. Even when I lived in Montana , they did not.
When they hear me, they know that I'm from that
'whole other country', Texas.
Even living in Colorado for 23 years didn't erase the unmistakable.

Enjoyed hearing about your part of the world,
Manofmusic.

Also the colours of your world taday, Karma.
We are cloudy here.

Best regards to all my friends , whereever you are.
MJ

it was a beautiful day - simply beautiful. brisk describes the weather perfectly!

mama and i ran all over town doing this and that and something else. it was nice.

so mj - it sounds like you've lived all over the country? why all the moves - business or pleasure?

i just listened to the most marvelous song - "why try to change me now?" it's pure blues from an era gone by. i can listen to music like that forever and always. i drink it into my being and it sweeps me away - changing me for that while into someone new, someone different.

i was watching an episode of "house" on hulu and it was the ending song. i looked it up on you tube and there it was - being sung by fiona apple - of all people! i had no idea she could sing so deeply.

i'm finishing yet another muffler LOL mama came into my bedroom this afternoon. she's never seen as many mufflers in one room. i guess it is a bit horrifying LOL

i hope you're having a good night and your tomorrow is wonderful!

Hi Karma;
Well, would you believe some of the time - just running. The ole' geographical cure for anxiety?

Of course, when young and new - for adventure!

So there you are!

I wish you'd put the you tube song on here. I like blues.
