You ARE funny ! LOL
Today was extremely productive. Yesterday, it was kind of boring because the new jobs that were supposed to come in hadn't. Today, however, they did ! I was busy from about 9:00am until the time I left at 4:30. Tomorrow will be more of the same. I love it when I'm left alone to just do my work. The time flies by so fast. Under that circumstance, time flying by is good ! LOL
I've made a point of making my lunch and bringing it to work. I used to eat off of the truck that comes by at breaks and lunch. The food is really good, but extremely high in fat and calories. Everything for breakfast has bacon on it and everything for lunch is battered and deep fried ! LOL (well...not everything, but about 80% of it). It's also expensive. Last year I was on a rotating layoff from March until the end of August. I was working a week, then laid off the next and so on and so on etc etc. During that time, I learned to be good with money. I coupon clipped, and saved by making lunches. I continued on with it ever since. I still eat out once in a while, but not nearly the amount of times I used to.
You say you went to a downtown deli ? Did the guy behind the counter bark "NO SOUP FOR YOU" LOL
Tomorrow we will BOTH walk into work with a smile on our face and our head held high !!!!!

canada has fried food? i had no idea - not a clue! i took an online course for a friend - yes i know it was wrong but it was a have-to-course - not an important one - on geography and learned so much about canada - except the fried food part. my big paper topic was on the inuits and how technology was/is helping to restore their almost lost languages. or something like that. i - she - got an "a" on the course too! she was most happy LOL
we're being "furloughed" by the state an extra 3 days over the next couple of months. who knows - before it's all over, it may be more. what my friends and i have been doing is buying 1 lunch and splitting it. everybody is trying to lose a few pounds and save money, so it really works well. i have no trouble asking for an extra plate. geez, i'm sure that's no suprise LOLOL also, we're such good friends, if we were told "no" to an extra plate, we'd just eat from the same plate but with different forks! for dinner, i mostly eat oatmeal or cereal if i don't have leftovers.
that coupon today rocked - all total, my big salad and water came to $2.73. if good friend had split the salad with me it would have only been - wait, i don't do math LOL
i love it when i look at the clock and time has passed without my even knowing because i've been engrossed in work. one day, super good friend stopped at my desk and said - in the most outraged voice ever - "has time stopped? has it? well, has it?" it was only mid-morning and she'd already snapped LOL
can you imagine the look on someone's face who had never seen the soup nazi if someone actually barked "no soup for you" at them? LOLOL x forever

Yes we have fried food ! LOL We don't make it often because it makes our igloos melt ! LOL
One day I will travel up to the Northwest Teritories. I want to go past the Arctic Circle and see the northern lights. I don't think that I could deal with the 6 months of darkness though. My cousin lives in the Yukon. She's a bank manager there. She said that she never wants to leave. It's a much different environment up there.
Today was good up until about an hour before I left. The boss came up to me and TOLD me that I forgot to do something on one of the jobs. He started to raise his voice and said that he told me a "million and one times" not to forget this. What made it embarassing even more was that there were customers in the room. So I called up the job and calmly showed him that I didn't forget what he was talking about, In fact I've NEVER forgotten what he was talking about. He didn't believe me, so he went out to the shop to recheck. About 10 minutes later, the boss came back in and didn't say a single word. He walked over to his desk and continued with his meeting with the customers. No apology or anything like that. I walked out of there with a BIG smile on my face. I'm not going to get over-confident though because that could come back to haunt me after ! LOL

Hi Manofmusic:
I could be very wrong, I'm just an elderly lady, but you know what I'm thinking?
I think that supervisor is getting nervous about the new you. He can't figure it out.
He is used to making people quake in their boots. And he can't do that to you anymore.
So he is looking for a way to break you again.
Just don't you give in. You just keep right on smiling!!
As for those customers being in that room and witnessing that, befieve me, they had thrir thoughts and it wasn't in comdemantion of you.
They could see what a scared little rat your
Supervisor is.
Here is a little tip I learned years ago.
Start praying for him. You won't feel like it,
but do it anyway. Don't pray for God to change him. Just pray that God grants him all those things you'd like for yourself. Pray that prayer for him for 21 days straight. Every day withought fail.
At the end of 21 days of praying for him, you will not be made nervous by him at all. Just try that.
My son has a supervisor like that.
I wish you the very best.
MJ

i. give. up.
my job is what it is. i will never be shown any respect or dignity. i will never be included. it's something i will deal with. period. the end.
it is what it is. there is nothing i can do to change anything.
i will not change who i am. i am nice, polite, i do a great job. i'm not a trouble maker, a tattle tale, a gossip monger, a liar or a cheat. i have a good work ethic.
those qualities get me a paycheck and insurance. anything else is truly unrealistic and not going to happen.
and guess what? that's ok. it's perfectly fine with me.
so let me recap: i. give. up.
