Thank you Ms T Bones!!
You are so generous and kind.

And thanks to Manofmusic and to all who have made me so welcome here.

My days have not been the same since I found this forum and this program. I feel like you are all a part of a big happy fmaily.

Yes, Frined Karma, we can all be positive. A shonning light in fact, for those who are just starting and are so afraid. They can read this thread and say to themselves: "Hey, life can be good!"
Because we were all afraid just like they were!
Eh, Ms T??
Thank you you for your prayers and kindnesses.
MJ

thank you for your kind words cornflower - because we are one big happy family! it's a choice. so much of the time happiness is a choice. yet it is a hard choice to make - sometimes almost an impossible choice - when depression is crashing in.

that's why it is so important for me to post the good that is happening in my life. inputting happiness into one's being - whether by reading, listening to music, watching a fun movie, talking and laughing with friends - keeps the mind from dwelling on negatives. we can strive to make our thoughts become positive instead of negative by changing the "negative habit." i know it's working for me!!!

i watched the movie i rented today - "the hurt locker". it's a movie about a bomb squad in iraq. i only thought my back was overly tense. i disarmed every bomb with them!!!! it's a very intense movie - and brilliant.

i'm looking forward to the weekend. i'm going to do things around the house. i don't see myself walking my dogs this weekend. my back can't take it right now. but there are so many things to take care of around here it's not possible to be bored!

i'm still amazed and so happy with my work week. and it goes without saying, man of music's week makes me smile from ear to ear!!!

Karma/Elaine LOL (love Seinfeld!) you are so good at walking your dogs, I only have one and she's half the weight of yours, but I don't do it in the winter here, what a wimp I am because it's not even as cold as where Man of Music is.

Anyway we've been getting her going on the treadmill (ever watch Dog Whisperer - he got us interested in this)...she's getting pretty good at it but it still doesn't replace regular walking!

Man of Music after reading about your 6 mile Riverwalk I did feel convicted as you mentioned it was just above freezing. I stay inside with the treadmill tee hee.
Shif.

If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.

more often than not my life feels like a seinfeld episode. there's not an episode i can't run lines with LOL i'm now totally hooked on the office too.

if i had a treadmill, keeper would eat/chew it and i'd end up picking up pieces of it all over the house. then i'd have to take apart the vaccuum cleaner - again - because there would be a piece stuck in the roller bar LOL i so know my home life HA

i stand by the statement, if the dog whisperer came to my house, he'd beat me with a stick. my back and right shoulder are still knotted up like nobody's business! i used a homedics massager on both last night when i was watching the hurt locker. of course, the movie was so intense, that didn't help the problem at all. but it is a brilliant film and i'm sure i'll watch it again before i take it back to block buster.

it's going to rain today - it's so gray out and cooler than it's been this past week. the boys will forgive me for not walking them.

i have goals for today. 1. do the universal crosswork puzzle from webster's online dictionary, 2. take out the trash; and 3. dust the living and dining room. big goals LOL

i hope your today is wonderful.

Those are some good goals ! LOL I've never been able to completely finish those huge crossword puzzles. I've come close, but never finish.

My weekend starts now !!!!!! I came home to grab my mp3 player and now I'm heading down to the river. Oh boy ! LOL It's kind of nice outside. It's grey here too, but warmer.

My boss was cranky this morning. Everytime he talked, I walked away. He can be cranky all by himself. He wasn't really being cranky to me anyway. He was cranky to a co-worker. I just didn't want to hear it. I ended up leaving work with a smile on my face !!!!! :)

This weekend will be productive. I'm helping a friend move on Sunday. That will be a good workout (until the pizza's ordered) LOL I'm one of the friends with a truck. I know....I'm being used ! LOLOLOL (the pizza better be good ! LOL)

I think I'll need to rent "The Hurt Locker". If you like that movie, have you seen "Blown Away"? That was a good movie !

If you don't want stuff stuck in the vaccuum cleaner, then don't vaccuum ! LOL

Time to head off to the river ! Wish me luck LOL

the hurt locker is very intense - and very good. you'll like it. tonight i'm probably going to watch blackhawk down again. i have no idea how this war movie thing started?

i have spent most of the day abed. no not being a bed - but in the bed LOLOL i did the universal and l.a. times crossword puzzles - the first in under 17 minutes and the second in under 37 minutes. i don't consider myself competitive but there's a timer on them and it makes me crazy LOL then i watched the movie "the jacket" - which i didn't really understand but parts were visually stunning. LOL

then i slept and slept and slept. i'd still be asleep if pony hadn't woken me up to go outside. it's gray and damp so it's a perfect day to sleep. i guess the past 2 weeks took a toll? i'v been going to sleep earlier so i don't think i'm playing catch up.

i am so glad you are able to walk away from your boss and realize his being cranky is all about him and has nothing to do with you. isn't that wonderful?!?! sometimes anger/rage can be signs of depression. just think, we could all chip in and buy him this program LOL

pizza sounds so good right now. i could order one and have it delivered but i know better - especially since i will not be exercising tonight - this abed thing LOL

i hope your walk on the river was fun!
