I have gained soo much weight since I lost my job back in July! I can no longer zip the wedding dress that my mom and I purchased back in June! I am so upset with myself everytime I look in the mirror! I started exercising again this past Sunday, and my goal is to exercise for 30-40 minutes 2 times a day, once in the morning, and once in the evening! For the past 3 days I have stuck to my goal, good for me! I also have changed the way I am eating. More fruits and veggies, smaller frequent meals, and try not to eat after 8pm. However, I am one of those ppl that will exercise for 2wks-2months, and then quit for several months! I don't want to give up! I can't give up, I have a wedding dress I want to fit in, and look absolutely gorgeous in! I want to make exercising apart of my everyday life with out having a stopping period, but i never seem to stick with it! I have no choice this time, I only have 5 months b4 I walk down the isle, but I'm scared that I won't stick with exercising or healthier eating!!! I'm getting ready to start school full time nxt wk so that will take away from me being at home all day! Any suggestions on what I could do to stick with my everyday exercise routine, and NOT GIVE UP!!! Even after I am married, I want to continue to exercise everyday, but I just know that I'll probably give it up again! Not trying to be negative, I just know ME! HELP!!!!!

I am so like you I give it my all at first and than just stop! I just started exercising again myself and I'm afraid of the same thing. Maybe with could form a workout buddy system, when I do not want to workout I will write you and I'll do the same for you! We will just keep cheering each other on! Let me know!

2 things I'd suggest:
1) Get a pedometer. Keep challenging yourself to take more steps. You'll be amazed!
2) Don't limit calories...just eat more food that moves through you like fruits and veggies - and stay away from a lot of fat. You can eat potatoes with just salt or even plain sweet potatoes. By limiting calories you set yourself up for hunger and binging. Also limit or avoid bread and wheat products or buy sprouted bread at the health food store.
Well that was a little more than 2 suggestions but I hope that helped. I know you can do anything you set your mind to do, and getting a lot of support helps, there are tons of support sites on the web.

Tomorrow will be a week of me working out, and eating right! However I stood on the scale yesterday, and I was soooo devistated! I wasn't gonna weigh myself until the last sunday of the month, cuz that's when I'm gonna try my wedding dress on again, but I just wanted to c if I had lost at least one pound! No, absolutely nothing!! I got really depressed, and I am just gonna use that for more motivation! OMG!! I have never been this big, and I have never had to really work hard to loose weight, until now. The weight just used to come off without me even knowing or trying, but now that I'm older, it is soo hard to know that I have to work at it now. God give me the strength to be strong and eat right, and keep up with my exercising! I have to do it for me, and I HAVE to fit in my dress in June, and look good!!!! Lord help push me to push myself!!!

Don't get discouraged. For me, it takes more than a week to get back into an exercise routine and start seeing results. Also, you may be losing inches without losing pounds as your fat converts to muscle, which is heavier. Keep in mind that the number on the scale is not the important one; it's the one around your waist! As long as the dress fits, the scale is unimportant.

I think the fact you have been working out everyday is AWESOME..Way to go Brandi Way to Go Woot Woot!!

Jamie is totally right, muscle weighs more . When my bro had a personal trainer for a few months he had my brother weigh himself once in the morn, first thing and once at night then at the end of the week add it up and get an average. But he mostly stressed inches at first since that was the thing one notices first. They way your clothes fit.Maybe just put the scale away for a while and just go by how your clothes fit you and that might help. Get LOTS of water too .
Again I am so proud of you ! You can do it
