Congratulations, Manofmusic!
You are getting there, Hey, you are there!

Oh boy, does your boss need this program!
He sounds so miserable.

I had to smile broadly at your laugh about southerners in the snow. We got from 8 to 12 inches of snow on Christmas Eve.
That was on Thurs. On the following Saturday, the National Guard came to help get trafic moving again. LOL LOL Not funny really.
Fort Sill Army base and Shepherd Field sent some heavy machinery to move the big Simi's that were jackknifed accross the hiways. Trafic was bogged down for hours on 287 and
I - 40. You see it only snows like that every 30 or 40 years. So this city has no snow removal equipment. Mud trapped some people because it was a blizzard and they couldn't see where the road ended. It is very cold now. Certainly not your typical Texas weather. It is funny. And it is fine to laugh about it. LOL
Anyway, didn't mean to swamp this thread. But there you are.

Hey Cornflower !

It's only funny if no one gets hurt. I HOPE no one was hurt ! I believe they showed some of that on the news here. Some of the drivers found it funny actually. It looked like a giant pinball machine ! LOL

Hey Karma !

It sounds like you need to turn up the heat ! YOU CAN DO IT !!!! LOL I don't think it will raise the cost of your gas (or hydro) very much. It will cost more to replace the burst pipes ! My cousin works for a renovation business. A couple bought a $750,000 house. They took off to Florida and didn't shut off the water and turned the heat off. They got a call from the company to tell them to come right home. When they got home, they saw a waterfall that had froze on 2 of the interior walls on the main floor ! A few pipes burst on the top floor and ran down the main floor walls only to immediately freeze. It looks kind of neat actually, but not for the home owners ! Turn on the heat !!!!! YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!! LOL

Keep trying for the 7:59 thing again ! Once you get a routine going, it'll be easier !

As for the skirt, I'd have to shave my legs first and I don't want to do that ! LOL

I didn't see any reports of anyone getting seriously hurt.
But some very good things happened. A young man was reported to have walked from car to car taking sanwiches and coffee. People were stuck in their cars as much aa 12 hours. There was many reports of poeple helping people.
The Chilli's Restuarant opened up on Christmas Day and fed over 1,000 people free who were away from their homes. Local people went in and volumteered as waitresses to serve and feed them. There were many, many acts of kindnesses.
Airmen from Shepherd Field got thru' someway to take people to shelters that were set up.
I was safe at home watching it all traspire on the local television stations.
It really renews your faith in your fellow man when something like that happens.
A fresh front is coming thru' on Thursday from up your way. So we'll be in the deep freeze again. I don't think there will be snow. But 20 degrees is a deep freeze for us.
Hope you have a good day tomorrow.

heaven help us - it's supposed to snow and rain here thursday night - this means ICE on the roads!!!!! LOLOL i can hear your laughter even as i type!!!!

today rocked steady. some things at work were restructured and today was day 1 of my new duties. i don't know if you've ever seen an episode of seinfeld where elaine is trying to get some guy on a plane and back to seattle because she can't take being around him anymore and is running around her bedroom stuffing his things in a suitcase and yelling like a maniac.

if you have - well that was me this afternoon LOLOL i hit both total maniac AND manic mode. i did everything but grab the front of people's shirts and shake them for information i needed to get 3 meetings set up. i felt like a wild woman racing here and there and everywhere. my best quality (?) is having the ability to force people to HELP ME understand what it is i'm trying to do - LOL at me i'm going on record as being in overdrive for about 4 hours. it was worth every run - race - phone call - email - and grab. even as i was tap dancing on several people, they laughed the entire time. i apologize to people even as i'm figuratively shaking them. nobody takes that kind of stuff to heart.

i'm lucky in having a good group of coworkers to interact with. they actually seem to like watching others succeed - go figure!?!?!

IF i did everything right - and i honestly think i did - yay for me.

so was it a good day? yes it was. i'm pleased with what i HOPE i accomplished.

hoping your day was stellar!!!!

We were supposed to get dumped on with snow tonight, it's going to go around us !!!!!!! Bring on Spring !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drive safe Thursday night. Make sure you bring a blanket with you in case you get stuck in the ditch and need to sleep there over night ! LOL .....actually that wasn't funny...LOLOLOL

Way to go "Elaine" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. I can picture you grabbing your co-workers by the shoulders and shaking them ! LOL It's not a good idea to be reported to the labor board on the first day of the new position ! Employers frown on that. LOL It's a good thing that your co-workers are on your side. Try not to "Elaine" them tomorrow. They may get mad at you on the second day ! LOL That's funny ! LOLOLOL

Nothing but good things to report about my job ! Actually, I got good news ! Remember when I went to work on the Monday ? Well, the secretary handed out the pay stubs at work today (we have automatic deposit). I ended up with 2 pay stubs ! One was for the Monday I worked and the other was for an extra 40 hours that I didn't work ! Evidentally we all got paid for all the days between the holidays and the days we did work, we got paid extra ! I was floored ! Time to go to the mall !!!!! LOLOLOL

You will rock tomorrow ! Just keep your hands off the employees "Elaine" ! LOL
