Great thread!!
My positives for 2009:
1. I reconnected with God, and I am now going to Church again on a regular basis.
2. Finally got a divorce. This was a bit of a downer, but it was not a healthy relationship, and something that HAD to happen. I used to be the doormat for her anger and abuse, but I have CHOSEN not to be that anymore.
3. Realized that I LOVE being a Dad!
4. Got out there and started dating again. Was able to break off a several-month relationship with a really fun girl that was just not right for me. The old me would have settled and tried to force this to work.
5. Have started putting myself out there more socially, and actually having some FUN with it. Have made some new friends, and reconnected with some old ones.
What was positive for your 2009? Let's share them!
There are many positive remarks I appreciated.
Cornflower a comment about the sun coming up. I once was praying to God and said "How can I live my life waiting for the sun to come up?" A few seconds later he answered me. The sun rises every morning (like you said Cornflower) its just you can't see it for the clouds.
Gave me a new perspective. Thanks everyone for your encouragement.

1. I got my first teaching job (kindergarten) and have made it through the first half loving it!
2. I met the man that I am going to marry!
3. I started this program!!! This is a huge one becuase I have been struggling with anxiety and panic attacks for almost 10 years and thought that it would just be something I would have to live with. I was settled in the fact that this was just my downfall and I would just never be able to do some of the things that other people get to do. After only a brief time in this program, I now know that is not true! I can live a "normal" life and in fact love and enjoy it, not just get through it constantly worrying "what if I panic".
4. I have developed a closer relationship with God and am spending time reading/praying daily.
5. I have started getting my finances in order. I had been running from some college credit card debt for about 5 years and recently bought the Dave Ramsey book, made a budget, and am on a plan to pay it off. This was a huge stress reliever!
I am thrilled about what 2010 has to offer and am praying for a wonderful year!!
