I just found out that a co-workers spouse passed away last night. Granted I'm not close to this co-worker but I still feel very confused on the way I feel. Is that ok? It feels like I'm about to have an attack but I know IF it come that I can fight it and wont be a big deal. I just really dont know how to feel. In one way I know there is nothing I can do about it. In another way I feel like my world has just came to a complete stop. Can someone help me with this? Im not worried about having an attack cuz, it aint nuttin but a thang!

Im sorry if this isnt where I should post this!

If you only look at what is, you might never attain what could be.

Hi Wildcard.

We are overly sensitized people, especially to other people's problems and situations. Once you realize this you can start letting the fear go. You now know that you're overly sensitive, you know that there's nothing you can do about the problem, now let it go, the fear and the confusion.

You do this by knowing that the scary, confusing thoughts may come, but they're only thoughts. Let them come and go. When your body becomes tense, relax your body. Let the feelings come, no matter how they feel. When you don't fight the feelings and thoughts, they go away faster.

I agree with DeeDee.

I haven't had that exact situation occur, but when someone is there one minute, and not the next it seems normal to me that it would give you pause and make you think.

I have read stuff in the paper and then freaked about whatever it was, happening to me just like you. You do have to step back and make a reality list and not let yourself get bowled over with the emotions involved.
