Side chest wall pain...

As many of you may know I have been battling with the body symptoms alot lately. I know that chest discomfort is common with anxiety, and I've definately had my share of it! However for the past week I have been dealing with a discomfort ache under my left armpit on the left side of my chest. It's a mild ache, but it is scary bcuz it's close to my heart. Sometimes it feels like it radiates to my throat, but it's really mild. Has anyone experienced this kind of discomfort. It bothers me mentally soo much I have almost had a few panic attacks about it, and I haven't had any panic attacks since March! Still scared!

I have had it periodically, my MD has chalked it up to muscular pain. It still scares me although I'm pretty confident it's just another bothersome symptom of anxiety.

Brandi and Cport: As you know physical aches and pains can be caused by our emotions. At about age 17 I had a very heavy sensation on my chest, like I was carrying a weight. My Mom took me to the doctor and he found that it was emotional. When he told me that it vanished immediately. Our brains are sooo darn complex. I sincerely hope you find the solution and try not to worry, it will pass one day.

Thx guys! I thought I was alone on this one! It really helps and feels soo much better when I get some feed back. I still get the ache, but I try so hard not to think about it. Constantly and always PRAYING!!

I too suffer from body symptoms. So I can understand your being scared. Galaxie-your so right about our brains being so complex. Somedays it's great...some days its utterly frustrating!

Hi Brandi. I have the same thing. Pain on the left side of my chest, sometimes in my armpit area, and my left arm. I have had every cardiac test and everything is normal. Sounds like this is farily common with anxiety.
