I stretched my faith and was victorious. Actually it's God's victory; I am just the vessel.

Last night I realized I was completing the wrong form for a state-run program to build a business while on unemployment. I rediscovered the correct form but it had to be signed by a business counselor from the program. The form had to be received by 5 PM today. I was, oh, how should we say? uptight.

But I started believing in Him that everything would be fine and I'd get the form signed and faxed by today's deadline. I read some notes on Creflo's and Joyce Meyer's sites. I spent 10 minutes meditating on The Lord. I even tithed despite that I didn't receive my unemployment check yet. (That was an error on the Labor Dept's part which they recognized and corrected today.)

God's first response for standing on faith with Him, spending time in His word and meditating, and tithing was to afterwards help me complete my exercises last night. I'm sure we all know when we are upset, sometimes we don't want to do anything except curl up in a ball. Initially I was going to scrub the exercises but I completed them. Praise Him!

Then today on the train ride to the Labor Dept office, I usually have something to read. I didn't. In my mind I kept praising Him and thanking Him for everything getting settled. I got to the office, and got the necessary signature! ;)! I went home, scanned the papers and just finished faxing them successfully!

Thank you, Dear Lord!

That is really wonderful to see that you recognize that God uses whatever He will to help us become who He planned us to be. Thanks again for that encouragement.

Thanks for sharing Charlie Brown. That's some good stuff. God always blesses us when we trust him. It grows our faith muscles which in turn blesses others to keep on keepin on in the faith.
Bless you,
Jill~

Today I have been a little worried about my economic condition. I opened my topical Bible and once again it seems like The Good Lord directs me to the right passage. I share it with you and hope it helps your situation like it is helping me.

"Do not be afraid, O man highly esteemed," He said. "Peace! Be strong now; be strong." When He spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, "Speak my Lord, since you have given me strength."

--Daniel 10:19 (NIV)

Also: I have learned to give praise even when I am nervous, anxious, and depressed. It's easy to give Him praise when the good times roll. It's stretching that faith to do it during the neutral and negative times.

I don't think that I've ever really prayed before, but what I would like is to truly be grateful for everything in my life, to not be so self-centered. I really have the best family and friends, but I've never really acknowledged that before. Money is tight for me as well, and I wouldn't mind a few $$$ to make sure I can cover the mortgage this month. Over the past few weeks, I've really began to understand what's important and what's not. Thanks for starting this thread Charlie Brown.
