I went thru the program a long time ago. It helped me a lot, but this year has been a challenging one. I just started a new job last week after being unemployed for what seemed like ages. I've also had to deal with a family illness and other issues that was rough. I think my new job will work out just fine, and the family illness is stable for right now. One of my biggest problems with anxiety is scary and obsessive thoughts.
I know one event that triggered them was last month when I got so sick my mom had to come over and take me to the doctor. She lives an hour away from me. After getting back from the doctor and giving the meds time to kick in, I told her I thought I would be okay and that she could leave. On her way home there was a big storm and she wrecked. Her car was totaled, and she got badly bruised around her ribs. She's still sore from the incident.
I would just like to know how other deal with unwanted thoughts that creep up and make you feel anxious or depressed. Any advice would also be helpful, please!
