Let's give this a go.

Well it's too cold for a picnic so how about some Winter Party ideas?
Chesnuts roasting on an open fire..(BUT only if we have adequate cross breeze ventilation and an extinguisher and some heat proof mitts and some Benadryl for those allergic to nuts)
What else?

Hey Jill -

I'll be one of those needing the Benadryl (no nuts for me of any kind)! Although I don't know how I might do with nut fumes...

I'll also need an emergency ride home available in case it snows. I come from the great city of Seattle where the entire region shuts down if we get a trace of snow.

We'll also need some "space blankets" for those who can't tell if their hands and feet are numb because of anxiety or hypothermia.

However, the cold air should be good for us. We'll be able to see our breath, which will be a good visual cue to confirm that we haven't stopped breathing.

See you there!

Soon we'll be putting up our beautiful "holiday" tree.

Of course it's an artificial tree because it's a fire hazard as it's so dry out here and if don't don't water it enough the needles will all fall to the ground and make a big mess -

and of course I'll have to get some natural pine scent because heaven forbid the family should nasally ingest any toxic chemical fragrances which will ultimately lead to cancer.

<IMG SRC="http://www.workability.org.au/userfiles ... 20tree.jpg">

I will buy some candy canes.

Of course they will be all organic and natural, as I don't want any reactions to the red food dye and I don't want any sugar with pesky pesticides roaming around in there.

<IMG SRC="http://blog.newsok.com/religionandvalue ... dycane.jpg">

Actually, I think we'll just nix the candy canes all together, all that refined sugar will deplete all of our immune systems and leave us vulnerable to the viruses that are flying around us.

Well, we still have our soy nog. That should keep all the mucus at bay.

Well is weather permits and we have snow maybe I will look into renting a sled. And some horse drawn sleigh rides would be fun too but we will have to make sure that the horses don't go too fast, perhaps and older horse with just a lil giddy up. And that the seats in the sleigh will have seat belts and an emergeny brake system of some sort.And of course some Dramamine for those who get motion sickness. :p ;) :D

Oh, come on Jillz live a little!! Take a Risk!!

I was just talking to Nells on chat. I remember the good old days when she posted funny pics for the summer picnic. There was one with a sprinkler going but alas we must say good-bye to summer fun....

It won't be long and we can have SNOWBALL FIGHTS!!

Hi everyone,
I'm not sure we should have snowball fights,someone could get an eye put out or a concussion.Are you guys sure we can be out in those temperatures?What-if we get frostbite?Or what-if the roads are bad and someone has an accident?What-if we get snowed in and can't get home?What-if we don't make it home on time and we miss work and get fired?OH OH OH I think we should plan for warmer weather.But then what-if we get a bad sunburn and then we get skin cancer?What-if it's hot and someone has heat stroke?OH ME OH MY I'm gonna have to get back to you my IBS is acting up for some reason.

Good point Char-lee maybe you should stay at the lodge and make the hot chocolate and get the marshmallows all ready. And make sure there's enough logs for the fire. Hey while you are at it how about making sure theres new batteries in the Carbon monoxide detector.
;) :p
