hi everyone,
Anyone using buspar and if so , how is it going? I have been on 20mgs now for 2 1/2 weeks and nothing is happening yet. My doctor tried to raise it to 40, but i only added an extra 5 mgs at night, but i woke up really dizzy, so back to the original 20 mgs. Thanks

I have not personally taken this. My mom did and said that it did make her dizzy for the first couple weeks. It has been working for her.

I just started taking 15mg per day and working my way up to 30mg per day next week. This is the first time I've tried Buspar. I've been taking Xanax but trying to ween myself off that.

I have been taking 30mg of Buspar, 15mg in the am and 15mg in the pm. for about 2 months. Unfortunately, I have not found that much relief. With the various forms of anti-depressants/anti-anxieties, the one that worked the best for me was Zoloft. Unfortunately, I'm not currently on that and I feel like I'm jumping out of my skins.

I am currently on Buspar 15 ms in the morning and at night. It took about 1 month to kick in because it has to build up in your system. I have Severe panic attacks and it actually works!I was taking Prozac with it and it stoped working so Now I started back on Zoloft Which I was on 1 yr ago and it stoped working. But now I'm back on the Zoloft with the buspar and it works GREAT! I mean when I first started taking the Buspar It made me a Little dizzy and loopy feeling, my stomach was naseaus, but those side effect wore off. I started with 5 mg in morning and night then worked my way up to the 15 mg in the morning and at night.

I have been taking Buspar 5mg every 8 hours, and it works fairly well. I still have occasional panic attacks and wonder about asking my MD to increase the dosage, but I DO get a bit light headed from time to time, and don't want that to escalate. It did take about 5-6 weeks to kick in though.

i take buspirone 5 mg morning and 5 mg afternoon. it helps. I've been taking it about 4 months now. I still get some attacks but the program is helping me and mostly its hot feelings, not sweats, just feel on fire--have had that before taking the med. I never had any side effects thankfully.
