This is extremely common for anxiety sufferers. Over the four years I've been perusing these OCD threads I've heard thousands of violent obsessive thought threads. I have not once however heard of a true OCD or UST (unwanted scary thought or obsessions only sufferer) ever acting on anything. The dif...

I've lived in complete paranoia for almost five years straight. It's an absolute nightmare of an existence. One thing that I can pass on to others however, is to not be weak like I have and succumb to this burden. Please work on yourself.

So here's my question. I've thought about 3 or 4 just terrible thoughts over a 15 year span. I've never done any of thoughts or even considered it. Hence, why won't they just go away? The webster's definition of obsessions is this: an involuntary repetition of a thought or behavior. But therein lies...

I'm not trying to belittle the traditional sense of OCD with washing and checking repeatedly, and the like. However, I'm getting quite convinced there is no worse mental illness than OCD obsessive thoughts only. The interesting thing is you can control it but it takes tons of practice and discipline.

So I did something I never thought I would do today. I called my mom and told her about the mental anguish I've endured for years. How I am acting that I'm happy all this time and that I haven't truly been right for a long while. I also explained that she didn't have to understand everything but I m...

I truly believe that all this crap can be beaten. I simply will not accept that we were meant to suffer our own minds while on this earth. Do the program, do it again, once more. Want relief so bad you can taste it and then go get it. I think the biggest problem ocd sufferers encounter is that we ca...
