Monday night was the first time I had a trip to the ER. I started having heart palpitations around 8:30pm and then a racing heart beat. I figured that they would go away on their own and didn't want to waste a trip to the hospital for "nothing". About an hour or so later it was still the same and finally decided to go. When I got there my heart rate was around 145bpm (pretty high) and my blood pressure was 175/100 (also high). They got me in pretty quick and did an EKG, ran some blood test and gave me meds to slow down my heart rate and after a few hours of that I was able to go home. Not a fun night at all!!! I really had a hard time yesterday trying not to focus on the night before. I'm sure over time it won't bother me, but was wondering what anyone else did after this happened to them. I'm trying to eliminate stress, but that's easier said than done. I've also really watched my diet over the past few months. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks

Kodiak 44-Sorry to hear about your trip to the ER. It must have been scary. Do not dwell on it for sure-I have not been thru anything like that at all. I just wanted to acknowledge your post and to give support. For me I would find out from Dr why that happened and find out about the meds your on. Also it is great you changed your diet and less stress would help-if you do get stress it's good to know the coping mechanisms. I do know of 2 doctors that are all natural-Dr. Don Colbert and Dr. Eric Braverman. If you would go to their web sites you might find stuff that would help. I think it would be their name .com or .net(their web sites) Also I know they say laughter is really good, so if you can listen to a lot of jokes or watch a funny movie and I would say diet-all natural-as close to the garden as you can get-meaning less proccessed and man made foods the better-also Dr. Eric Braverman talks about spice, cumin, tumeric, etc. God Bless You and watch over you-hope this helped.-Wolverine

Thanks Wolverine. I did check out those two Dr.'s, every new idea helps because it never hurts to try another way. These conditions are never fun, I think my main concern now is how to deal with stress. Good thing I like funny movies!!! Thanks for the reply and being here for me and everyone else. You all mean a lot to me and I'm sure to everyone else in here as well.

I just had to jump in on this one. I am a patient of Dr. Colbert. Actually see his nurse practitioner and am multiple supplements for cortisol control, adrenal support, and stress management. Still have some problems with anxiety which is why i'm back on this program. By the way, I ended up in the ER last year due to a stress reaction (panic attack) and when I talked w/ Dr. Colbert about it, he recommended Lucinda's program. Interesting. Also they are adjusting my hormones, putting me progesterone. This is supposed to help calm anxiety. I'm a big believer in natural medicine--using what God gave us to get well.
