Severe itching after showering.

I go through this every day. I absolutely dread taking showers. It's the most painful itch you could imagine. My whole body itches for about 30 minutes. I scratch intensely and curse at the top of my lungs. It's bad! It has to be this seroquel i'm on. I've told my doctor about it, but all she said is not to take hot showers. I felt a little relief after taking cold showers, but not enough. I can barely type right now because I am itching so bad. Feels like a thousand tiny needles prickling at my skin. My aunt is a nurse, and she seems to think it's effecting my nerve endings. Any thoughts???? PLEASE!!

have you tried taking an antihistamine? i know that helps with rashes.
