life is good - and it's a long post!

it's official - it may or may not snow tomorrow. how funny is that? while 4 inches of snow is predicted, nobody will commit. i won't know until i check the work website in the morning if work is on or not. i don't particularly care either way - so i guess i'm not committing either? now i must make the decision or commitment as whether to wash my hair tonight - just in case. LOL

the only signs of human life i saw today were the boys. we laid low. it was cold and mama doesn't particularly enjoy coming over here since i won't turn on the heat. my gas bill was $33.08. i think it was that high because the hot water heater is under the house and it's gas.

yes it was a good day. i watched a british film on netflix - easy virtue - an adaptation of a noel coward play. and i made another muffler. i think i have "muffler madness" disorder. it should be included in the new dsm-iv LOLOL

while some get a holiday here on monday - president's day - i don't. again, it makes no difference to me. my work place - for reasons i don't understand - didn't ask my opinion HA

your boss actually joked around today and was in a good mood? the stars must be realigning or something. i'm so happy for you. did you have clean hair? if so, that could have been the reason!!!

that being stated, i'm going to wash my hair right now - because it may or may not snow tomorrow LOL

i washed, dried, and curled my hair. then i checked my work website. no work tomorrow - it figures!!!!!

i'll look really nice AT HOME tomorrow.

Glad you had a good day off !

I need a gold star for my forehead ! Let me start by saying that I have 2 bosses. One is actually kind of funny now. He's the one that I can sort of joke with now. The other one.....what an *** !!!!!!! He's the type of "boss" that no matter what anyone does, all he focuses on are the "**** up's" as he puts it. I've never heard a boss so vulgar in my life. Every other word is the F bomb. He's loud and obnoxious and he ticks everyone off. An example....one of the places in the city closed, so we got a TON of resumes in. Well... during the busiest time for the guys in the shop, he ran out to the shop with a bunch of resumes in his hand said LOUDLY "You all better do what I say because we have resumes here now". I thought he was joking until I saw the expression on his face ! I thought one of the leaders in the shop was going to hurl a wrench at him !!! The guys in the shop are probably the best group of workers I've ever seen and I've been in the business for 23 years. THAT'S the type of jerk he is....anyway, he came up to me today. Now, I've kept my cool for a long time now. He came up to me with his attitude. He started shooting off his mouth about something that had nothing to do with me whatsoever and I calmly looked up at him and just stared at him. I didn't say a word. After about 30 seconds, he walked away with a grin on his face. He gets this way when the owner isn't there. The owner went to Vancouver to see a part of the olympics. SO, I have a feeling that he's going to be in rare form next week ! If he is, I'm just going to walk away from him. The gold star on my forehead is for the fact that I didn't kill him ! I'm kind of proud of that ! LOL

That's my day in a nutshell !

you get a gold star from me!!!!! good for you!!!!! you smiled!!!!! my brother has a smile he gives when being jerked around. it means the person jerking on him should really think about stopping!!!! i'm glad you allowed him to live because you wouldn't be able to post from jail - i guess LOL

isn't it strange how people bully others? i don't understand the mindset of a bully. mostly i just want to pull their hair or slap them in the face! but what you did was right - just giving a smile and standing your ground!

it snowed almost all day today - really it did. it was so quiet and pretty as the snow fell. i sat in the living room with a fire in the fireplace and the boys chewing their rawhide bones and watched. tonight it's supposed to be in the mid-20s which means ice will be on the roads. i have enough milk and food to withstand the big blizzard - 3 or 4 inches LOLOL oh and i made another muffler - this one is a deep rose coloUr in a suede-type yarn.

your posts always make my day and bring a smile to my face!!! thank you for that!!!!

Karma ! I see that your favoUrite way of spelling is kind if familiar to me ! LOL The mufflers sould like a lovely coloUr. LOL I'm sure that everyone that you give these to are honoUred ! LOL

I work for a few hours tomorrow (note the small u on hours since that's the way it's spelled for you too. LOL) I hope the jerk isn't there tomorrow. I want Saturday to be a nice calm day. I deserve it !!!!!!!!

the snow outside is quoting a line from the wizard of oz - "i'm melting, i'm melting" LOL

at the same time, it's so cold in the kitchen, i can see my breath when i go for coffee!!! the coffee is a necessity - i woke up with a weather-related headache. despite the headache and tight shoulders, i did work both the universal and l.a. times crossword puzzles LOL

it's sunny this morning - finally!!! i may not be able to walk the dogs but i can see and feel the sun coming through my bedroom windows!

mama is super into the basketball playoffs right now so i don't see her coming by today. again, it will be me and the boys. i will say this for the boys, they are excellent company!

it's time for more coffee and my gloves are in the car LOLOL
