please please reply im desperate for an opinion or some advise i cant bare it anymore
I've also had similar physical symptoms and I know it was triggered by the death of my father and grandmother. It made me paranoid about how fast things can be taken away from you. I was ok for a long time until a divorce and everything came up again. And again when my mother died. It made me realize that there will always be losses in life and I need to figure out a way to cope with these loses, because there is no way I can prevent them. I also had panic attacks when driving and they have since gone away. So it is not a death sentence. Things can and a lot of times change for the better.
LauVon,
everything you mentioned I have experienced. I think it is anxiety that you are experiencing especially since your doctor told you that is what it is. I have had so many tests and x-rays over the years (I am 53 and this started for me back in the 70's!) I wish I could recover all the money that I spent on tests! The headaches may be becausse 1) clentching the teeth, 2)Getting tense and sucking of side of mouth or teeth 3) not breathing correctly.
Check yourself right now as you read this to see if you have your shoulders uplifted or are holding your breath or tense arms/legs! Did you find any of these going on right now? I will assume so and that is anxiety. I learned that I had to be aware of my breathing to see if I would catch myself breathing too fast or shallow and also to be aware if I was tensed in jaws shoulders legs etc.
This program has done a lot for me! I am going back through it again and I have found that I missed some important things the first time through. THis program comes with a CD for each session plus a workbook and some versions of the program come with some DVD's (not big deal) and also some people choose to get a coach that will phone them weekly and work with them. (maybe available in the UK?)
I wish I would have had this program 20 years ago!
Best of luck to you!
Rod

Hey lau von..I know what you mean with the spaciness..half the summer I had this wierd spaciness and dizziness..chest tightness..aches in my neck and back of my head..I get migraines..but I know when I've went to the doctors and gotten blood tests, cat scans..nothing has come back and the doctor told me it was anxiety..but the only thing I think about the candida is there is a book called sinus survival and I think there is something to the candida thing too..because I always get sinus troubles during the year..and the book tells all about how candida can cause reoccuring sinus infections and some of the side effects we feel with anxiety too, there is a diet in there to follow to try to see if you do have candida..my sister has the book right now..but I want to try to see if the migraines and some of the effects I'm feeling could be caused from the candida..until then I know what a panic attack feels like..scary..and I'm so glad I found this program..because I can try to work on the tension and breathing and eating right and trying to get past the anxiety attacks.
Regarding headaches -
I have been a long-time sufferer of headaches, especially early morning, or upon waking in the morning. My dentist prescribed a "mouth guard", which I wear at night. I apparently grind my teeth at night...The guard keeps me from wearing down my teeth, and creates a cushion for my jaw. My morning headaches have significantly diminished since I started wearing the mouth guard. It's not sexy, but neither is a headache in the morning!

This is s copy of something I just posted in reply to a message about young women and monthly cycles. I suffered for years and years with most of what you all are going through and now my 15-yr old daughter is having many of the same anxiety problems, and I notice that her symptoms are worse around her period. When I was going through it too I knew I had an imbalance and started doing research at the library on PMS, and, since I was older, on pre-menopause as well. One day I was reaching up for a book and another book literally fell off the shelf at my feet. It was about solving the puzzle of PMS. I took it home and read it and that book saved my life. It had information on everything and the author had gone through it all and then became a licensed nutritionist and started a PMS center to help women with their symptoms. Guess what? She lived less tham 20 miles away from me. I called her and got an appt and started her program that saved my life. She took one look at me and said: "You have Candida (yeast problems) and I had it and now I am better and all of my symptoms have gone away." Sounds wierd I know and the medical community just doesn't recognize it so much, and maybe you will not either. But it worked for me. I went from dr to dr for years, looking for an answer. I knew I was not crazy. I had taken lots and lots of antibiotics, ate a sugar/carb-rich diet for years and drank coffee with sugar too. That day I started the diet (NO sugar! Just eat protein (meat, chicken, fish, eggs), vegetables, sm amts of whole grains, brown rice) and started taking supplements to kill the yeast. It took awhile, but first I had several hours that week where I actually felt good, and the rest of the days were somewhat worse and my anxiety sometimes got pretty bad. Then I had a whole day without symptoms! My sinus problems got better! Next I would have 2 days in a row without my symptoms, and I thought, what is going on here? Finally, after maybe 2 months I had more good days than bad, despite my periods.
People didn't believe me when I told them because "your symptoms are all in your head." So I stopped talking about it, but you know, that was 10 years ago and I am totally fine now. I can eat a little bit of sugar, but I dont take antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. I try to watch my diet and not overdo the carbs but sometimes I do and I don't beat myself up about it--i just feel bad and then start again and feel better. I can drink caffeine without going nuts. And most importantly, I take a calcium/magnesium supplement twice a day. Magnesium is fantastic for relaxing the muscles, nerves.
The book is out of print and the nutritionist got married and moved to another state, so I don't keep in touch, but I do know that she was key to my recovery. The fact that someone else had gone through it and came out the other side and said yeah, I had those symptoms, here try this, made a world of difference. This may not be the answer for you, but it worked for me and I have to spread the word if it can help even one person. Get some books on Candida, go off the sugar and processed foods, take acidophilus and garlic to kill the yeast, calcium/magnesium for your nerves, exercise, drink plenty of water with lemon, take epsom salts baths to relax when you're feeling nuts and think positive. Be good to yourself. There's hope.
