I actually checked the calendar to see how far into my 30 days I was. I want to know it works within those thirty days darnit! no pressure
I will try too to focus and quit worrying about if it will work for me... not so easy though.

Hello everyone, this is my second time going through the program. I went through it this time last year. To be honest I really didn't feel like the program was working until around week 10 or so. I think individual results vary.
I can definitely tell you it does work. when I look how far I have come in a year it is amazing to me. I have had anxiety all my life. I have lived with the avoidance behaviors to manage my anxiety. Not anymore. I am a doer now and its exciting.
I restarted the program because I was having some struggles and things for me starting getting weird again, the obessessive thinking and regretting things from the past. Those are signals that my old negative coping skills are are returning.
I also agree that no matter how good I am about doing the homework and listening to the tapes I feel like I am not giving it my all. That is my perfectionsitic side rearing its ugly head. That's also a signal for me to pull out my notes and review my skills.
We really need to acknowledge even the smallest of accomplishments. Even if we only listen to part of a lesson tape or only read part of the homework give yourself the credit you deserve. We can be so hard on ourselves for not living up to the ridiculous expectations we have of ourselves.
Believe in yourself and believe that this program will help because it does work. One day you will have the light bulb moment and be like I can't believe that used to frighten me or I had a panic attack over that.
Just try to take each day as the gift that it is from God. Its a new day and a new chance to start over.
I hope that helps a little. I am about to start lesson 3 this week. I am so excited as this is one of my favorite lessons.

Thank you for your words of wisdom. It was really encouraging to hear about your journey and that it works! I actually started session 3 and am thinking about giving it a few extra days. I am just now catching my constant negative self talk and trying to give myself credit instead of looking at what I haven't done.
Thank you again, your words gave me just what I needed to hear. I also appreciate your letting us know that you are going through the program again. I know life is a journey not a destination and the reality is we will probably need tune-ups down the road. It is good to hear you recognized your regression and are taking the steps to correct it. I think that is important to hear, at least for me so that if (when) down the road I need a tune-up I know what to do instead of jumping immediately into "It didn't work!! I'm hopeless!"
