Angela52884, it sounds like we need to stay in touch...we have a lot in common! Just talking about it with other people that feel the same way is a HUGE help to me. On Tuesday I had to demonstrate a dressing change on a mannequin at school for my professor and my hands wouldn't stop shaking. I felt so stupid for being nervous...it was a fake bandage change!!! What part of the program are you in? (I just finished #6)

Sunshine 1960, thank you so much for your reply.
Words of encouragement help me SO much. I really appreciate it. You're probably right about watching a birth...I cry just when I watch them on the Discovery Health Channel! haha

Hi,
I am an RN and I went to school many years ago. I stayed nervous while I was in school. I moved a lot when my husband worked for a major dept store and they move managers often. I stayed nervous and I had to move several times and start new jobs, I realy did better then than I do now. I am a school nurse and I love it but I stay behind and that stresses me. I always thought I had to have the best grades. Today,I work wit kids and they help me but I am depressed mosst days.
I remember that I passed out during a minor surgery but it was because I had not slept much and didn't eat breakfast. I now have a daughter in medical school and I know she is stressed out. She passed out during one of her Gross Anatomy exams. You will be fine. Try to learn all you can and when you are actually working, you will learn more and the anxiety will be less. If you have any questions for me, reply.
June
