Lauren, with all due respect, if you do not wish to hear about our Father Jesus, then why are you on this thread? Why don't you just move to another thread of more interest to you? We, the children of Jesus, have a pretty strong army so what you say to us, will not make us go away. You are in my prayers and I feel sorry for you. God Bless! Please take your anger to the Lord, and he will help you as he helps all of his lost lambs.

Hi Lauren:
How many Christians have you known personally?
Have you heard this song:?

"just as I am without one plea,
but that Thy blood was shed for me."

I don't have to do anything for salvation. It is free. It is given. It is by grace. All I have to do for salvation is to believe that Christ paid for all my wrongs. He paid my debt.
Totally without anything from me.

I listened to the you tube thing. Yes, I heard stupidity. But that doesn't change what Jesus did. There are all kinds of people out there.
I don't need to judge them. I just need to thank God that he gave me a way to be free.

There is nothing to do , nothing to earn.

Now , you suggest that people open up their minds and listen to what God wants us to hear.
So I am asking what is that which you say He wants us to hear. I would like to know what that is.
I'm not down on you at all. What is it that you want us (or me) to know?
In what way has christianity touched you negatively. How have you been hurt by it or by someone in it?
Don't you feel any peace when you read those beautiful old Psalms?
I'm not trying to sell you anything. If you don't want to be a Christian that is your choice. God did give everyone a free will.

I just feel much safer believing in Jesus. I realize that my end on this earth can't be too far off. And I sure would rather find that God is there waiting.

I don't hate anyone. I may have at some point in my life. After all, I was divorced once. My hubby fell for a younger woman. I'm human.
But time heals. Thank God. I'm glad I didn't die when I was full of resentment. I'm over that resentment now. And it feels good not to be mad at anyone. Or any group.
It feels peaceful. And calm.

I can let you live however you want. I think that you'd likely be happier if you did accept
God and His goodness. But I would never try to force you to believe anything.
And that is the beauty of a belief system. God lets us decide. He never forces. And He is love. That is what He is. He is Spirit and he is love. It is His whole essence.

I just don't think anyone is trying to "get you" here.
Be gentle with yourself. Do like Lucinda says and be kind to you. Be your best friend.
Do like Boon says and talk to that little girl inside you very gently.

I guess we just have to accept that everyone is different. Evidently anxiety has hit us all no matter what walk of life we are in.

I have a grandson that is gay. I'm sure he feels that Christians hate him. But we, his family do not. I love him very much. HIs mom loves him very much. We all pray for him. But we pray for all the grandchildren. We wish that he were not gay. But we can't force him to be otherwise.

There are things in life that bring pain. And there are things that bring joy.
I take it that you joined this forum like the rest of us, because you had anxiety or depression or you know someone that does have it.
I have had some serious depression in my life time.
But my faith in the love of Christ has helped with that a great deal.
I'm not perfect. I'm still learning and still growing.
I might even learn from you. I've learned from many people on here. I can name a whole bunch of them. There is Pecos. A very learned and intelligent young woman, and lOVpIGGY, and a lady that was on her a couple of years ago , Mello Nello. I could keep on going down the list. Nearly everyone adds sometihng in this process. And Mary Wargo. Oh there are a host of wonderful folk on here.
I'm still learning.
I'm going to keep on learning.

This is exactly what I knew would happen. Are you Christians so insecure in your god that you have to force it on me? I asked you nicely not to participate, and I can do no more than that. You are some of the rudest, most disrespectful people I've met here.

Lauren...You do not have a clue of what you are even talking about. I do not serve God out of fear, but, out of love and a sound mind.

Like I said before, you are the angriest person that I have ever come in contact with...

You love controversy, and you are filled with loathing and hatred for others!!!! You are the one who is walking in darkness, and can never come to the knowledge of the truth!!!! So, I probably am just wasting my precious energy praying for you, since, there are many others out there who needs prayer, and who actually do request it.

Yes, I do get the drift...You are above all...You do not need anyone..You are immortal, and never are going to die...You hate everyone, including yourself. Thank goodness! I believe I started this thread. I am not ignorant to Christianity, and I don't appreciate being called ignorant, but by people so rude, it is to be expected. Hopefully, the ultra Christians will be kind enough to leave me and my thread alone, and only those who are positive and openminded will join.
