Hello Everyone,
I know many are going through some really bumpy hard times right now and that's why I wanted to post this...for encouragement to everyone. I hope it makes at least some of you see there is light towards the end of the tunnel.
I was working on my bad behaviours before my program arrived. I was inspired by "The Secret" after hearing about it from my sister. I watched it 3 times in a row, feeling overwhelmed through most of it. I was left with many helpfull thoughts and began using them. Not for wealth but for positive thoughts. I had gone off all meds pryor to this, went through a couple months of withdrawal, but made it!!
In less than 2 weeks on the program I feel so much better every single day. I hated to get up in the morning and would sleep my days away as much as possible. I NOW LOVE MORNINGS, I SLEEP NIGHTS, I ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY, I'VE LOST 15 POUNDS WITHOUT TRYING, I'M OFF ALL JUNK FOOD, I'M OFF POP, I THANK EVERYTHING EACH DAY, I HAVN'T HAD AN ANXIETY ATTACK, MY ANGER IS PRETTY MUCH GONE OR UNDER CONTROL AT WORST, I CLIMBED A LADDER, I WALK DAILY, WORK HARD ON THE PRGRAM, MAKE MEALS AGAIN FINALLY, LOVE MUSIC AGAIN, AND SO ON. I know there are many more things but can't think of them right now and it would get really boring anyway.
I still have 7 sessions to go but if I can feel like this anyone can. I was so messed up..more than I knew. I just really want everyone here to feel this good about their lives too.
Thanks for reading and I really do hope it inspires you to NEVER GIVE UP.

BELIEVE YOU CAN CONQUER ANYTHING~ AND YOU WILL !! I DID IT, YES !!!!!
WOW that really is inspiring! I am just starting on the program. I was just prescribed Zoloft for my obsessive thinking. I'm afraid to try it but I believe that I will conquer this. I believe that I am gonna make it. My obsessions are the hardest because I can;t stop thinking about whats wrong with me which then causes more anxiety and then more depression. Thans for the word though. When did you start to feel better? How do you control obsessive thinking?
Here's how it goes Terry: You will have all kinds of doubts about you ever getting better. You will have good days and bad days and in between days. The keys are simple: do what the program tells you to do and do not do what it tells you not to do. Listen to the tapes over and over. Read your readings over and over. Take notes, pray, be as optimistic and positive as you can and keep doing it. Many days you will feel like giving up, but don't. One day you will begin to feel a little better and God will send you even more information to help you. Then one day you will feel peace. Keep it up and keep fighting, it does get better. If you fail to do something in that week that was recommended, go back and do it. Then move forward. No body is perfect at this, but the more we follow the program, the more success we will have. Your mind may get away form you a thousand times a day, but get ahold of it and pull it back to the positeve a thousand times a day. It feels good to get good results. It takes what it takes, so just do it and dont give up.

I started feeling better after session 3 which i did 5 times as it was a lot to take in and very important to know. It's different for each person so just work at your own pace and take the time you need with each session.
Also try your med. I was on meds for many years and there is nothing wrong with using them. It may take the edge off until you feel you can maybe do without it. Use all the help you can get right now. Be kind to your mind and body. Tell yourself how great you are doing...self praise and self love are so important as you take this journey...you will hear all about this in the program. Treat yourself with respect and care as you would if it was a friend who needed help. If you can learn to do these things it will aid in much better results and feelings of self esteem and self worth will rise rapidly which will decrease all the negative thoughts that cause most or all of the anxiety and depression. This is so important for success. You can private message me anytime you want or need to talk. I'm online most of the time.
Just take it one day at a time, BELIEVE YOU CAN WIN...AND YOU WILL!!
God Bless, I'm Cheering you on
Deborah

It says in the tapes and book that you should skip a day then read then skip a day. Did you do that or did you read a couple of days sometimes in a row.
I first did the getting started cd, then watched the session 1 dvd, listened to session 1 cd, did the homework and did my journal...that was day 1.
day 2 I listenend to session 2 twice, did the homework, again the journal,
Day 3, Session 3 on dvd and cd twice, took notes, journaled,
Day 4, session 3, twice again, both dvd and cd, took more notes,
day 5, Session 3 again, cd and dvd, did homework, read notes and journaled.
day 6, session 4, dvd and cd, took notes, did cd again, homework, journaled,
Day 7, session 5, dvd and cd, took notes, did homework & journaled.
Day 8, Session 6, cd and dvd, 2 times, took notes, homework, and you guessed it..journaled.
Day 9, Session 7, cd & dvd, twice, took notes and did all the same as above.
I found taking notes really helpfull for me. I tend to learn easier by actually writing things down as I hear them. The most important thing is to take as much time as you need to take it all in. Some can do it faster, some slower, it doesn't matter as long as you work at your pace and repeat any session that has a lot of important info you need for the skills and tools you will be needing to help yourself get better. Journals are very important to use steadily throughout the day and any time you are awake. Write almost every thought down so you can see how your thinking is changing or not changing. Write how you feel, about the weather, what time you got up & how you were feeling. Just almost anything you do, eat, think, feel, etc.
If you follow the program at a comfortable pace and work hard you will be another success story and you will enjoy the journey getting there.
The more you practise the better you get. Just be sure to practise the positive thoughts and not the negative ones, it will be hard at first but soon you will just be thinking of all that you are greatfull for and all the beauty in life.
I'ts a wonderfull journey..ENJOY IT !!
All The Best,

Thankyou very much for the compliment.Originally posted by Angels-R-4-Me:
Deb, That was really great advice. I really enjoyed reading what all you have been through in a short period of time. I hope I can gain your attitude real soon. God Bless You
YES YOU WILL GET THERE...it will happen, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, it's something everyone can do and so many have finished and are loving life for the first time in many many years. Work hard, you are so worth it, we all are. We all deserve to live a wonderfull, joy filled life. You just have to learn the skills and put them to good use. This is not an overnight fix. We spent so many years thinking wrong, being angry, sad, hopeless, beating ourselves up, amd so on. You get out of the program what you put into it.
JUST GET STARTED & STICK WITH IT...FOR YOU!
From what I am reading you didn't take a day off in between like they suggested. That is the way I wanted to do it but didn't know if I should follow what they said.
I can't tell you what an inspiration you have been, thank you, it is something to strive for, knowing I might get to where you are.
