I have been dealing with panic attacks / agoraphobia for 40 plus years. I took the program a year ago and it worked wonders for me. I was able to drive 800 miles in a car to see my son in Virginia. Something I never would have believed I could do. Over time though, I have found that I have spent less and less time on the "new skills" that I learnesd - and I feel my world begining to close in on me again. Sooo I pulled out "The Program" and have begun again. My confidence is low and I feel that the giant leap I took last year....may never happen again. Anyone else going through this again????

Hello Cdduck....hey...the program worked wonders for you a year ago, why wouldn't it work as well this time for you? You're just in a growth spurt right now and need some support and review on the skills. I just finished the program and I am going to start all over again this week and can't wait. I'm sure I'm going to hear stuff that I couldn't hear the first time around because my anxiety was so outrageous a few months ago. Keep the faith...this program has worked miracles for so many people including yourself...it will do it again for you. Hang in there! Take it one day at a time and remember... this is so good for you. Good luck!!

My best to you,
Lynn

Hi Cdduck,
I did a similar program like this 14 years ago and it also did wonders for me. Since then, I've had a couple of relapses ... so I know how discouraging it might be for you right now. I got rid of the program called "CHANGE" ... thinking that I was recovered forever. Since I knew how well it worked I was looking for it again and couldn't find it. Then I saw a T.V. announcement about this program "Combatting Stress and Depression Program" and I checked it out on the internet and discovered it's a lot like "CHANGE" but even more thorough ... so now I'm completing my 3rd day. I encourage you to listen to hope and trust that you will benefit again and come through even stronger than before. I am believing that for myself. I hope you don't mind me sharing a Bible scripture with you that I have held onto in the past that has helped me ... Jeremiah 39:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". It has strengthened me to know that God sees a positive vision for my life and for others.
Hopeful for you,
Peacemaker (Lin)

I am also another one who's going thru the program a second time. Although, the first time i didnt complete because i took time off around the christmas season, only thinking that i'd get back to it in January.

Anyway, i'm trying to find the energy to do this and its hard. It feels like its more work than pleasure. However, I know that I believe in the success I can have and I deserve happiness without anxiety, fear, and negativity! Somehow you will get thru it just as I know I will!

This is my second time around with the program; it worked well for me two years ago but since the passing of my mother I have felt my anxiety issues returning.

This year has been rough; I had to put my older dog to sleep earlier in the year, I also lost my job, and then my mother passed. So there has been a lot of loss in my life this year.
