RecentlyI have been experam iencing dizziness and I notice when my anxiety is up that my sinuses get stuffed up. I then have a hard time breathing and feel a little off balance. Can anxiety cause this? I am prone to allergies and sinus pressure and that is what it feels like.

hi.. I thought it was just me and my imagination. There are times when I get anxious not even panic, but my nose actually feels like it gets stopped up or the lining swells and I cant breathe through it. I normally feel like I have trouble breathing with my anxiety anyway, but when that happens I really get anxious. The good news is that the longer I use the skills I learned in the program the less anxious I am and the less often this happens. Hope this made you feel a little better Rosalie.

I don't know if anxiety can cause sinus problems. Sinus problems on the other hand can cause increased anxiety. Sometimes I get lightheaded when my sinuses are blocked and my anxiety gets a lot worse. I suppose that if your body is under constant stress and anxiety that maybe you are more prone to allergies and sinus problems.
