Speaking to yourself with Respect

Post by Randy70 » Fri Jun 22, 2012 1:22 pm

I was just reading through the workbook and saw "learning to speak to yourself with respect". It was one of those light-bulb moments for me as my self talk is not respect to me or others. I'm a very judgmental person about others and I'm awfully judgmental about myself. While I would never verbally say disrespectful things to others, I say them in my head and the worst part is I say them to me. All that being said, I'm going to try my best to be more "mentally respectful" to myself and others by replacing some of the disrespectful comments with respectful ones. In a nutshell it'll me, mentally speaking of course, "that wasn't a very nice comment. What is something nice I could say?"
