Question about session 1
I was so excited to start the program! I watched the jump start DVD, I listened to the relaxation cd but when I listened to the session 1 cd it was more like people were telling the stories of their anxiety. In the beginning of the cd there was a lot of talk about issue that will be addressed later but I almost felt like this was more of a testimonial session than anything else. Did anyone get the same impression? I'll have to listen to it again. I did the guidebook assignment and I'm going to start journeling (I trying to follow the program exactly how they are telling me to). I am hoping to get more tools to beat anxiety and not just hearing from people who have already beaten it using the program.

When I started the program a lot of what was in session 1, well I already knew most of it. I in a way got the same impression you got. But to me it also felt like a preparation for following sessions. More on the informative side than the few after it.
I never could stand writing a journal honestly, mainly because my handwriting is horrid. :uD
But lately journaling has been extremely beneficial to me. I'd have to say during session 1 most of my focus was on getting used to the relaxation techniques. Took a while, but I'm getting it done rather nicely compared to what I thought I would.
