I get these pains too. I wake up with my heart pounding so hard daily. It seems my medicine isn't helping and I feel like these cds are msking me worse. I feel this anxiety daily and then the depression starts. I know lucinda said that might happen. The relaxationd cd helps me and I sure did not think it would.
I too am a nurse andhave been one for many years. Presently I work at an elementary school and the kids help me. I notice I have hardly any energy and stay sleepy even if I go to bed early. I have a doctor and he is super nice but medeications doesn't always do the trick. If you have been a negative thinker all your life, it is difficult to change. I wish someone could help me with the anxiety/depression and hopefully this program will. I haven't had a chance to use it like I should. It seems like my days go by fast and I don't get much accomplished. The chest pain is related to the anxiety (I think) because it worsens when I feel that way. I would love to feel like what I think others do. I am good at hiding it sometimes. God bless You. June
Aches in chest
Tension, adrenalin, shallow breathing - these things can easily cause pain in your body. Especially your chest and sides. NONE OF THESE SENSATIONS WILL HURT YOU. NOT EVEN THE PAIN.
Lay on your back on the floor and swing your legs around so that they go up the wall. Your rear will up against the wall. (You'll be in an L shape with legs straight up the wall.)Breathe slowly for a few minutes. This will help to relieve the tension and eventually the pain will subside. Practice daily and more than once a day if you can.

Hi all,
No ofense to anyone, but as far as I know, no one here is a medical professional. Chest pains and flutters and palpations, may be caused by far too many things. Physical strain, anxiety, and adverse reactions or side effects to medications and/or supplements taken, just to name a few.
You really need to rule out all the possibilities by going to a medical professional and undergoing what they deem to be appropriate testing, anything less is just a guessing game. You don't want to guess or have unsubstantiated concerns or fears.
Find out what is really wrong, even if they can not find anything, it doesn't mean that there is nothing wrong either. I am not trying to churn up more anxiety for any body, these are just facts.
When you go to your GP or any other specialist that he might refer you to, they must know all medications you are taking;including, all vitamins and supplements, so put your list together so you don't even have to think about it.
I fyou want to do some detective work of your own, you might want to get a jump start and go to this site to see if you might find some possible causes that might be related to meds or supplements.

Simply enter the prescription medication or supplement into the search field and pull up or click on the appropriate reference library and bring up the areas of concern: warnings and precautions, contraindications, side effects, etc.
I am sure everyone here is doing their best to be helpful, but it seemed to me that many were skirting around what needed to be said. If you are offended by my observations, none is intended so please accept my apologies in advance.
