I think Jimp brought up a good point. If you weren't diagnosed with Lyme disease by a standard medical doctor then you really ought to go to a standard physician for true diagnosis.

Here is some information on Lyme disease: http://www.quackwatch.org/01QuackeryRel ... me.html

The website is not some random website. It is recommended by universities and by the Food and Nutrition Information Center (The Food and Nutrition Information Center is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and is partners with the University of Maryland's Department of Nutrition and Food Science and Howard University's Department of Nutritional Sciences.

Cigi,
If you were tested for Lyme and it came back positive...then you have it. I have never heard of a false positive.
I was just recently diganosed with Lyme and tested positive for Babesiosis as well, which is a co-infection.
I would highly recommend going to www.lymenet.org (click on "flash discussion") and getting on their message boards. There, they have people dealing with the same issues you are, as in having Lyme symptoms and they are really helpful and nice. Lyme disease is a dangerous bacteria that the body cannot rid itself of. It multiplies and nothing is off limits. I had the panic, anxiety, depression, etc. (along with numerous other symptoms) pretty bad, and felt hopeless, but after being on IV abx for a few weeks, I am noticing a slight difference. I have had this disease for 15 years, so I assume I will need long term antibiotics.
People would like to think it's all in your head, but until I researched Lyme, nothing made sense. Lyme disease was highly suspected and it came back positive.
Stay in the nitch with people who truly understand what you are going through. This is a complicated disease, but you are not alone.
Take care!
