I was wondering how common anxiety really was. I keep wondering how many other people there are out there that have aniety and do they know about this program?

"About 4 million adult Americans suffer from GAD during the course of a year." (http://www.medicinenet.com/anxiety/article.htm)

When I first started getting anxiety I had no idea what was wrong with me. Then when a therapist identified the problem and I began reading up on it I discovered that it actually is something a lot of people struggle with. And then when I started talking about it to people, family members and close friends, I started hearing, "I suffer from that too." I had anxiety for for six years before hearing about the program- my sister told me about it (she has anxiety/panic attacks too).

I think that everyone has a level of anxiety. How we handle it with skill/ability must vary giving us different results. My brother gets suffers from anxiety but he has better tools to deal with those times. I am hopeful that the tools we are learning here will help us deal with my anxiety.
