Hi.. Well some of you may know about my struggle with panic attacks at bedtime (that's where it 1st started and I became afraid of them) and my recovery with the help of a hypnosis cd (Deep Sleep Every Night - G. Harrold)!! I also suffered bad depression as well.. Still, none of the therapy I underwent helped either. It seems
funny to me after spending probably a thousand dollars that I should find victory from a simple CD.. I guess I can be known as the CD girl. LOL

Has any of you tried the CD's from thinkrightnow.com ? I bought the
Panic/ anxiety one and the Depression one.
The Panic/anxiety one did NOT work for me.. I think panic attacks at night are in a category by themselves and this panic attack CD did not address this kind of panic. It was more outward related, and it had 1 affirmation about sleeping well. So because I never had success with it, I cannot recommend it, but that doesn't mean that it's not effective. It just wasn't for me.

What I did have victory with, is the Depression cd. What an excellent CD this is.. Almost from the 1st listening I felt lighter, better. The CD uses a technique called suggestopedia. There is a woman on the CD with a clear voice, with soothing music in the background. It's
set at a certain beats per minute. All the while you hear her speak approx. 100 affirmations repeated 3x, each with a different inflection in the her pleasant tone.
I highly recommend this CD. Not only did it work really well at addressing all kinds of thinking that mark depression (anger,guilt,sadness, failure, expections etc)
but it doesn't make you fall alseep. You can listen to it in the car (I too a lot of negative thoughts while driving) or while working, or even while sleeping, if it works for you. I play this every day and find that I am feeling more like my old self again, who I mourned. I feel like the twinkle in my eye
has come back..

Thanks for posting this! I had seen these advertised and ALMOST got them a couple of weeks ago. I think I will order the depression one, I mostly have anxiety, but hearing the positive message Lucinda says on the relaxation tape really helps me.

How long did it take for you to notice a difference?

I've been having such a struggle for several days already. I checked out the website. The CD set is $34.97 plus shipping. How many CD's do you get? I'd like to get this but need to stop spending money. Please let me know how many you get. I'm glad it's helped you. I think I'm depressed because the work I see around me is overwhelming and I feel like I'll never get caught up.

Hi Ocean. I would say that upon the 1st listening I already felt encouraged but I think
it was about 1 month of listening to it everyday that I started to believe the affirmations and then things started to lift slowly. I think because everyone's level of anxiety & depression (which seems to go hand in hand) is different so I'd be reluctant to say
that it would be like that for everyone.
I do know that thinkrightnow.com does give a 6 month guarantee... that if it hasn't helped you up to 6 months you can get all your money back. That's initally what made me buy it too - it was that factor..

Hi Barb G. Depression was such a struggle for me too.. I also felt overwhelmed by things happening to me.. the frustration. This CD deals with some affirmations on that subject.

The freedom Depression CD is only 1 CD. I know what you mean about spending money, especially if you don't even know if it'll help. The only thing I can add is that the company has a 6 month money back guarantee. The customer support is very kind...

I also forgot to mention that I also have the Social Anxiety one too... That one has 2 CD's. Itis very good.

I'm so happy for you! I've had so much stress lately with our move across the country which will happen in just 4 days and I'm getting cold feet and don't want to go and my family is extremely depressed that we are going! I do think I've been somewhat depressed, although I think most people with anxiety disorder are depressed, how can you not be when your world suddenly turns upside down?

I know what you mean about mourning your old self! I really do.

I will let you know how I do. Can you download them from the site or do they have to ship them?

Hi Guys. I bought the Panic/Anxirty CD. It helped a lot. You can download them onto your computer and put them on an MP3 player. I have been thinking about buying their newest CD which is Tanquil Sleep Now. Sleep is a big stressor with me. If I don't sleep, I can go off the deep end really easily. Right now they are having a sale on this CD. I believe it is only $17. I just thought I would add my two cents worth. Take care and God bless.

Hi Ocean. I get misty eyed from reading your post and also Barb's. I guess with one thing about our troubles is that it surely makes us more compassionate and perhaps more tolerant.. less prideful. I hope that these valuable lessons I have learned through my trials, will never disappear..

I don't think it's a download.. which is unfortunate, isn't it ? Considering these topics, I think people would really appreciate it if there could be mp3 or cd downloads. I remember when I bought the 1st one it was around Christmas. It was the panic/anxiety one and it never came. Man that was a trial in itself!!! I then asked them to send another and what do you know 2 weeks later I received 2 of them the same day LOL and you know what? I never received the 1st one because it all the way to Sweden and then back to me... Oh my goodness.. and I can only laugh now !

Let me know please how you do.

And... they have Tranquil Sleep Now!? Oh my goodness... I wish they had it earlier !! But that's really great..because they recognized that this is a problem unto it's own ! Good on them! I'm tempted to buy it for $ 17 and play it during the day.
