Unsure
I don't think this program is for me, I've only had 2 panic attacks my whole life the most recent after the Super Bowljust came out of nowhere. I saw this info on tv and thought it was a good idea to try it out just in case I had another attack but I've been pretty good. saw my doctor he prescribed celexa so far so good I was on Paxil thelast time which was well over a year ago took it 3 months then I was good. I guess i need some input what others think and if Ishould continue on with the program just started today. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there! Here is my advice. I have never had a panic attack in my life, however I do suffer from general anxiety which has lead to depression for me. Over the past 13 years it got progressively worse. I tried medication and still use it from time to time, but I decided to try this program before I turned myself over to my doctor and let him prescribe something permanently. I am in week 4 and have made huge strides. I have learned so much about why I feel anxious and what I can do to relieve it. I am taking my time with the program and doing it at my pace. I look forward to it sometimes. I say stick with it. There will be parts of it that dont relate to you specifically but thats ok. The basic premis is there and the skills you will learn will make you a happier person. I feel so strongly about this that I would even recommend the program to people who dont even suffer from severe anxiety. The skills you learn are valuable to EVERYBODY in EVERYDAY life. Please stick with it. I was at my wits end and now I feel great. Good luck!

I am unsure myself.I also had a breakdown after superbowl ,mine was escalated with drugs and alcohol and led to suicidal thinking and a 10hr police stand off.I don't really know who I am or whats wrong with me. I do feel the program is giving me a sense of hope, something I didn't have before.I think you should at least give it the 30 days,We deserve at least that.Remember knowledge is power.

I don't think meds only is a good approach for anxiety/panic. Usually this is psychologically caused meaning that if you can get in touch with what the underlying thoughts are there is a good chance u can stop it and no longer be on meds. I was on anxiety meds for 27 years then got the program and was able to go off of them 5 years ago. Exercise and the program worked for me. Meds can help stabilize us, but they will not stop or change the underlying thought patterns. Could be the reason you've had to go on and off meds. The underlying thinking has not changed.
The program can help you get in touch with and change the thinking.
