Does anyone else have this problem? I just got out of ER the other day for chest pains and other heart attack symptoms. Everything is fine. I realize it was anxiety for the past few days because of all my wrong thoughts.

Another problem that causes stress/anxiety is waiting till the last minute to do everything. Even now I'm writing when I should be in the shower, cleaning the house and getting a bday card for my daughter, other errands etc. WHY do I do this? WHY do I wait till the last minute for everything inc. bills, going anywhere, doing priorities always...I'll do it later, tomorrow, whatever. Then when it actually has to be done or I'm running late...I panic. How do I get out of this rut and why do I keep doing it????

Dear Barb,
It sounds like to me that you are having problems becoming motivated!!! Could you be suffering from depression???

I know it is very difficult, but, you need to write out a list and begin to prioritize!!!

Write things which are the most important on the top of your list!!! Personally, I think you should come first!!! So, that means take your shower first!!!

Usually it is the things that we resist most, that, really does make us the happiest!!!

When feeling like this, then, I am sure this is the last thing you want to hear because you are probably thinking this is "just to difficult"

Taking action is soooooo important!!! In order to become motivated, then, you must force yourself to do the very things you are resisting!!!

You could think of it like this...For example..I am cleaning my house for God, since, God does not want me to be idle!!!

Idleness and boredom do lead to depression!!! No matter how difficult we must get up and do the things which we are putting off until another time!!!

By doing so, then, we become much more content with us and our surroundings!!! Therefore, we are much happier!!!

I pray this helps you in some odd way!!! God Bless You Barb is My Prayer tonight and always!!!

Hey Barb, I agree with Ms. T Bones all the way. But what struck me the most with your message was all the WHY's. You have to stop asking WHY. That little 3 letter word leads a train of thoughts that we don't like! Writing a list is is ideal, and even if you dont make it throught hat whole list, thats ok! Take what you didn't complete and add it to your next days list, at the top. Good Luck and your in my prayers!
Let nothing that has happened today or before discourage you about tomorrow

I write lists all the time and then I lose them. My husband said write them in a notebk. I do and misplace that too. It eventually shows up but sometimes its 2 or 3 days later. I think Ms.T is right. I do tend to put off what I don't want and go ahead and do what I like, like coming on here.
