Hello everyone,
Earlier Month,I was prescribed 2 MG bar Xanax. It is the highest MG of Xanax I've taken.Since starting the Medication,I am having problem with Incontinence during sleep. As a Kid,I occasionally wet the Bed,but grew out of it.As a young Adult,I began having problem with occasional Night time incontinence, however was going through a period of high Stress. It stopped and didn't happen for a long time.I'm uncertain if this problem is due to the Xanax,or if it is the Stress I'm currently under.Tomorrow the 26th will mark 18 Month's since my Father died.He was the last remaining immediate Family member I had.Since his death I have been contending with 2 greedy Vultures (his Sister and one of their Sister in-laws)..I don't think the incontinence is due to a Bladder or Kidney Infection.I've never had one and I'm not experiencing signs/symptoms of Infection such as burning,Blood or pain. This is very embarassing to me and I want it to stop.Has anyone had this problem whilst taking Xanax or during high periods of Stress?

Gal. Have you had children? It could just simply be a result of that. After my first I had no issues, after my second, I had the same problem. If I exercised, I peed, if I sneezed, I peed, if I laughed to hard, well you get it. It was due to my uterus having not returned to the size it was before. They can fix it. Or, it is stress. I remember on one of the tapes a girl talking about being diagnosed with a bladder infection because she was peeing all the time. It wasn't a bladder infection. Her anxiousness kept her feeling like she had to go. I had the same thing in the ER once. I was taking xanax too..... I had to pee like every 10 minutes and I wasn't even drinking anything. Hang in there, it will go away either way.

Hawaiihereicome,
Nice name..may I come to Hawaii with you? :) I'd love to be anywhere but here!

No,I haven't had Children yet (am an old Gal too turning 36 in less than 4 Month's :( ),so it can't be Stress-Incontinence.

It happens for awhile then stops for long periods of time then starts again..

I've dreamed I needed to go and thought I was sitting on Toilet and actually wet the Bed!

What is happening now is:I'm not waking up in time to get to Bathroom..it's not a full fledged bed wetting, but I do wet on myself and the Bed..

When I am Nervous or cold I have to go more often..

Have you discussed this with your gyno or internist?

I haven't discussed/mentioned to my new Physician yet,but am going to my next Appointment.

It was happening some when I was using my previous Physician.I mentioned, but he didn't say what was causing it.

I just read that Bed-wetting,Nephrotic Syndrome,Urgent need to Urinate,Frequent Urination,Painful or burning Urination and Urination during the Night are all symptoms of Stress.
