drinking with celexa

I know that doctors will tell you not to drink any alcohol while taking celexa, however i am only taking 5mg which i have been taking 3weeks for anxiety. I take only a quarter of a 20mg pill. I am going to my cousins bachlorette party on saturday and was wondering if anyone has drank while on celexa and what to expect. Thanks so much.

it will put u down, and make u sick very sick. it will make you feel drunker then u r.

I took Lexapro which I believe is the next generation of Celexa, and I couldn't drink while on it. Just like Bambee said, it made me feel weird, down maybe?, definately not happy or sexy. I felt more tired, more disoriented, and more impaired when I combined the two. I did a post about it at the time, and someone shared that they had a seizure due to heavy drinking and taking the Lexapro. Listen to your body if you combine them and limit yourself if possible.
