NyQuil Reaction?

Does anyone know if NyQuil triggers anxiety? I had been feeling ok for a couple of months and got a cold and all of sudden my anxiety is back. I'm wondering if there's a link or it's just me overthinking!

I find that NyQuil is fine for me, it's the DayQuil or any other non-drowsy medication that sets me off.

Joe I feel the same way with Nyquil... I took some the other night and of course the panic set in. I am convinced I do not know how to relax so when I start feeling good and sleepy my body instantly disrupts the duties of the meds with a panic attack.

NyQuil has dextromathorphan in it which is a serotonergic drug. It can produce anxiety, especially if you are already on a serotonin altering medication. I know, for me, the ssri's produce some real bad anxiety and I have had trouble starting any of them.
