I am currently on Zoloft. Does anyone know if the herbal supplements that come with the program are ok to take in conjunction with Zoloft? I worry about the 5-htp in the supplement is safe to take with Zoloft. Worried about Serotonin syndrome/overload.
Thanks for your responses & may you have a blessed day!
Good Mood Supplements
Hi Flower 74,
Your concerns about taking the vitamins sold here should be of concern to you and many others on medication. Your concerns about the 5-HTP and Zoloft are justified.
Most people that never take supplements don't know that if they take them in a pill form or vege cap, the best absorption rate they could possibly expect or hope for is between 10-50%. That means that the balance of what you ingest is going down the toilet.
The more cost effective vitamins and supplements you can take, are in the form of liquid or sprays that are absorbed directly into the blood stream by the salavatory glands or ingested from supper foods to be digested and disbursed through normal digestion.
Liquid vitamins and supplements are more wide available and less costly than direct injection by a physician. There are several good liquid vitamins and supplements on the market that do not have 5-htp, and are very powerful to help with a variety of things that our body lack or are in need of that these vitamins and supplements serve to help us with. Here is the one I use, and find it to be superb:

Click on supplement facts to see what you are paying for. You can not get this product and all the benefits it has for you, for less money anywhere. You can not get it directly from the manufacturer.
The other one that I like, but can't take because of the Ginseng is Miracle 2000; Best price available Here:

Best wishes on your efforts toward better mental and physical health.

You should ask your dr. I have asked the pharmacist in the past about taking supplements with medications and they couldn't tell me if there would be an interaction. I do know that one of the medications I'm on right now said on the print out that came with it not to take St. Johns W, eccinacia or ginsing with it. Until I'm off of this medication (in two more weeks) I wont' take any supplements before then just to be safe.
Hi all,
Please be advised, I have posted this at least 100 times with regard to checking on these things:

In my earlier post I was talking about the liquid health formula, provide a link to the vitamin and you can read for yourself the full contents, and if you wish you can use the link provided above and check every one of these to check for contra-indications against any medication. Or check the medication for most anything you might want to learn about any drug, vitamin or supplement.
I mentioned that I could not take Miracle 2000 because it does have ginseng and that contra-indicates with meds I take for high b/p.
Tens of thousands of people have been through this forum, and have posted hundreds of articles links comments and just about everything and kind of stuff you can imagine or think of, but you need to use the site search.
Just remember that no one here is a doctor, and you have to do your own research, because many doctors do not know much about nutrition, vitamins or supplements.
My mistake was assuming that people might read or follow suggested links. Pardon me, if I seem testy. Things going on my side, seem to be wearing thin on me. I think I will take a few days off, and expand my ministry elsewhere and receive much needed ministering.
Have a great day,
