effexor xr or pristiq

my doctor gave me pristiq today and said that its just like the effexor but it doesnt need to be metabolised the same so there should be less side effecive.. i dont know what to do i would love to just be off all of the meds but when i told him i tapered off and got depressed he said well the meds must be helping you... duh! but i dont want help anymore i want to be happy without them.. anyone try pristiq or know anything about it? should i give it a shot

I have been on pristiq for about a year now and I have not seen any changes in my depression since I have been on it. My doctor has me also on wellbutrin xl and colozapam. I am taking two anti depressants and an anxiety pill and the only one that seems to help is the anxiety pill. I would like to wing of all the meds and just use Lucinda's Good Days Complete. When I tried her positive mood supplement I just felt so much better and I had more energy and I was happier.

well effexor works great for me but i cant lose wieght on it and i hear such bad things about the withdrawal and all that.. i would like to use lucindas natural pills but i dont think i can take them with antidepressants
