Hello everyone,
I have had a sleep disorder for the last 10 years after a very tramatic event. A big issue for me since then has been sleeping a full night. I can fall asleep but then I wake up around 10 am.

I have been doing a lot of research on seroquel for sleep. I heards this medication can help you get a full night sleep from a friend of mine who has not slept in longer than me.

Does anyone have any information on seroquel and sleep?

Thank you
Bogey

I am not sure what part of the country you are in, it may not matter but here in Colorado there are many pending lawsuits against Seroquel. I guess it gave tons of people all kinds of horrible dangerous side effects. I would not take it myself.Infact I had one Dr recommend it to me and I said "no thanks"
I saw a segment on Dr Oz about Passionflower extract being good for insomnia. Maybe that would help? I would just keep asking your Dr. if theres anything else you can try.
Take care,
Jill~

Wow. It's a good thing I never read all that stuff....I've been taking seroquel for a few months now and it really has helped me, I feel - I was already taking Remeron; that helped me sleep for a while, but didn't do enough for my generalized anxiety and after a while didn't even do it for me as far as sleep. Since I added the seroquel, I sleep a good 7 or 8 hours, and my generalized anxiety is also improved. I haven't noticed any side effects.

oh and p.s. - you say you can't sleep longer than 10 a.m.????? Wow! I would be ecstatic if I could sleep that long - how long do you want to sleep??? I wake up between 5 and 6, and would consider myself in heaven if I could sleep in til 10!
