switching from zoloft to celexa

I have been taking zoloft for over a year now and in that year I have gained almost 50lbs. I went to the dr today and told him about my weight concerns and he decided to switch me to celexa. He said I didnt need to ween off the zoloft and just start taking the celexa. I am nervous about it because when I was reading about the celexa weight gain is a side effect of it too. Does anyone take celexa and like it?

I used to take Zoloft and am now taking Celexa. It seems to work pretty well for me. Hope you are doing well on it!

i'm on celexa and i love it, before i was started it my anxiety was so bad i honestly couldn't function in any aspect of my life it has helped tremendously and i have had no weight gain from it, i didn't even no it was a possible side effect until now, actually it helped my weird eating habits and sleeping habits and i lost weight after starting it

Hi, I've been taking celexa for over a month now, they are still trying to get the dosage correct....started with 20 mg, just increased to 40 mg, which apparently was to much, because I was having some side effects. But, we're working to get it regulated this week. Besides that it's really helping me... I did not gain any weight, actually I'm not as hungry as I used to be. I think I've lost 3 pounds since I started it. I know this is personal, but does anyone have se_ual side effects from this medicine?
