Yes, Butcher909, there are a few good vitamins and/or herbs to try. L-theanine is very safe and works great for my husband, but didn't really 'work' for me.

Some others are GABA, Lemon Balm, St. John's Wort (I love this one!), HTP.....Of course, don't just try them all at once or mix with prescriptions...

Don't underestimate the power of certain vitamins and minerals too-Calcium/Magnesium products are great right before bed, B-complex are good for the nervous system and yes, fish oil.

I've been on Paxil years ago (10 mg) and I swear I take St. Johns Wort (Perika brand by Nature's Way) and feel exactly how I did on Paxil. Except no weight gain or other bothersome side effects. Alittle light sensitivity-which is normal for that herb. I love it though.

If you are patient and do a little homework, you will find the right natural product for you. Sometimes it's harder b/c you have to do it by trial and error b/c your doctor probably knows nothing about these alternatives. Good Luck!
