Lexapro and Welbutrin

I was curious to see if anyone else was on Lexapro and Welbutrin? I'm on 10 mg of Lexapro and 150 of Welbutrin. I've been having a lot of anxiety lately and I've been contemplating whether it's just me or the combination of meds. Although it's probably just me

Anyone else on both?

Did you just add one of these meds recently? If so they can cause and increase of anxiety until your body adjusts to them.

The anxiety came before I started the Wellbutrin. It's only been a couple weeks since I've started that. I'm going to wait awhile to see if the wellbutrin kicks in.

Hi, What I've experienced is that alot of times when you are adjusting to a new med, you may feel more anxious, or sometimes other feelings. Just give it some time. I'm on celexa, clonazepam, and neurontin myself. Celexa is the forerunner to lexapro. Take care.

I can identify with both of you, Collinsmom and Hally. I felt the same way, increased anxiety and irritability when my doctor prescribed Lexapro and Clonazepam for me. Until I was used to them, it took about a month total, I felt odd and more anxious. How could I feel more anxious when one of my meds is an antianxiety med! The more anxious I felt, the more depressed I became... give it time, as I now do not feel that way anymore, but I still battle depression. Take care and be well.

I am on 20mg of Lexapro. It takes the edge off but does not keep you from not feeling things. It gives me that little push while I am going thru this program. Be well and I hope you succeed!

I started Lexapro on Dec 2ond, 1mg!!
I am so afraid of meds.
I have now worked up to 3mg's
What do most people start at? 5mg's?
What is a therapeutic dose 5 or 10?

Most people start at 10mg, and that is the lowest recommended theraputic dose. So technically you wont start feeling the true benefits of the Lex until you reach 10mg and stay on it for at least 2-4 weeks.
