abilfy

has anyone been on abilfy? Did it make feel like a zombie? with no energy to do anything?

I've been taking Abilify for a few weeks now. 2mg per day in the morning. I haven't felt like a zombie. I also take Lexapro. Maybe the combination of the Abilify and something else you're taking is causing that feeling. Also, I've found that some meds are better when taken at night before bed to avoid drowsiness, etc during the day.

I LOVE my abilify - no it does not make me feel like a zombie in fact it has made my other meds seem to work better.
If it is making you feel like that you better talk to your Dr.

Hi - know this is a couple weeks after your post, but I started on Abilify combined with a small dose (10 mg) of Prozac a little over a month ago. My doc started me on 2mg. and it caused some fairly strong tension and anxiety in my body so she had me break it in half (1 mg) and it has been much better. It is not supposed to cause drowsiness, but everyone is different in how they react to meds. I am VERY sensitive to all types. I do think the Abilify has given me a bit more energy. Will be seeing my doc again this week - figure she will be increasing at least the Prozac but possibly both. Hope you're doing better now. I think for Abilify to work for depression it is intended to be combined with one of the more traditional antideps.

I've been taking abilify for months now, and I love it! I take 5 mgs at night, and it has helped. My pdoc tried me on 7.5 mgs, but it was making me too sleepy in the afternoon. So 5 it is.
